I'm guessing the ship has sailed on that Harry Kane in part exchange for J-Rod deal...

Never in a million years is he worth £45-60 m.......
If I was Everton I would be biting hands off for that.

Cant see it posted anywhere else so i'll just pop it in here. Morgan says he won't be leaving us in January though he is unsurprisingly vague about anything after this season.

What story is this related to? I assume one about Barkley?
I agree I think it is more the precedent it sets. Everton fans will moan about being a selling club and Rooney etc.

Of course ignoring that the only clubs that aren't selling clubs are probably City, Chelsea. Barcelona. Real and Bayern. And even then I would have my doubts if Real truly wanted Aguero/Hazard.

But Everton desperately need impetus in their season and an inflated Barkley fee would certainly help them fund that (or indeed make it possible for them to fund that). But Martinez is looking like he is showing his true Wenger-in-training credentials : tippy tappy football with limited cutting edge and stubborn refusal to change style.

I wouldn't want to pay any more than £15m for Barkley.

He's been gash for a while but he's a good young english player so he'll fetch 20 million plus. The homegrown status is worth the extra money for the mega rich clubs.

Odegaard supposedly going to Ajax, makes sense.

I was impressed by Barkley when he first appeared on the scene, but he's standing still or going backwards. Needs to be at a team that could bring out the best in him...however, he's missed the boat with Saints<whistle>

Well we shall have to wait and see. Obviously I hope he is, but I would be very surprised if Schneiderlin and Clyne were both still Saints players next season, regardless of where we finish.

And I wouldn't be surprised at all. I would have thought that the clubs who may want them would have to finish higher than fourth. The three above us aren't interested. Just maybe ManU for Clyne.

I think Man Utd could be interested in Schneiderlin as well as Clyne.

And that's without considering the other difference between us and the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs... :emoticon-0164-cash::emoticon-0164-cash::emoticon-0164-cash:

Yep. Doesn't matter where they finish in the league, they are bigger teams.

I don't think we need fear a mass exodus this summer. 1) Koeman, 2) Because the board wouldn't want to go through that again, 3) player confidence in our board/owner has been restored and 4) we may be in Europe. Every team buys/sells players, but I am not expecting anything more than average turnover.
