About ****ing time, it was embarrassing.

I know that it was suggested that it should be put to the club(at one of the fans meetings) that it should be stopped.

    Looks like they've listened.

One thing to put to the club, the stadium needs a ****ing good clean, it's filthy and makes it look tacky. Place will look a total shed in a year or two.

I read somewhere that Allam's are refusing to do any none essential maintenance work.

In the East stand all the paint on the support girders is peeling off, one of the speakers in E4 makes a horrible noise and there's a leak in the E1 roof from last season

I'm tired of people letting their carrier bags blow onto the pitch. Absolute scruffs!

I wonder how much it would cost to give it a general tidy up to take care of stuff like that. (It'll be a lot more than you'd think for a lick of paint and some basic repairs)

I would have thought that agreement of tenancy would say that the place has to be maintained and kept to the reasonable standard of repair. Surely the council can inspect and make the tenant carry out any necessary repairs and refurbishment.

Against Everton the floor on the concourse was slippery as hell in the north stand I lost my footing a couple of times and after the game a young boy fell with such a thud after slipping. Told a steward not interested.

Are you sure they've stopped announcing the crowd? As the speakers were f**ked against Everton, could barely hear them announce the stands, either that or my hearing went...

Good news - the madness that has been the queue for the lift in West Stand reception was no more for the Everton game so I can only assume the necessary repairs had been effected to the broken lift.

The question is, of which the answer we'll never know, was it the bad publicity that forced the SMC into action ?

To be honest Chazz no I haven't, don't get into Hull that much apart from coming to games. However depending on what it states in the lease agreement, the tenant normally needs to keep the property up to a reasonable standard, so there should be no cost to the council.

It's now policy. It was one of positive outcomes of the fan/club meeting held recently.

I asked at the last meeting who us actually responsible for maintaining the stadium, because it seems a bit confused and no ine really seems to take responsibility for it. The answer given was the SMC. There's a clip I've heard on the radio before from when the KC opened and Geraghty promises the council will keep it maintained as part of a speech.

It seems to be just another example of the **** situation between Allam and the council. He won't do it cos he hates them and it's their building, they can't be arsed with the cost and effort. Neither really cares about it enough to come to an agreement.

Surely ctwd and a its team of volunteers can fill this breach? Ideal way of helping the club, get in there and get cleaning.

I do a lot of work in the Stadium behind what most people see. Some of the non public areas are an absolute **** tip.

The stadium itself is a **** tip, next time everyone's there just look up the outer walls, they're going black and green, water drips in certain places and leaves big rust trails down the walls, the Perspex stand roofs are going black and negating any point of having a transparent roof, and plenty other things I've noticed Ive forgotten about.

A few splashes of paint in places wouldn't go amiss either. If they sent a team of people up on ladders with a tank of truck wash and a jet wash once a year it'd be a small annual task, now they're going to have to get Mary Poppins in if they ever want the stadium to look tidy and well cared for again.

Leaseholders are always responsible for the maintenance of the building that's being leased, it's really nothing to do with council.
