Bit disappointed no real surprises except perhaps Forest.
    Will there be one tomorrow...us!

I thank the powers that be.... that we did not draw Blythe or Gateshead...as a loss to Sheffield will not be quite as humiliating as Vauxhall Motors

Worrying that West Brom and Leicester did so well....all breeds confidence I am afraid....but maybe Newcastle want to join us at the bottom too...the more the merrier

    See you all (!!!) tomorrow

We were shocking last year when we went on our Cup run (we won 3 league games between New Year and the end of the season) so I wouldn't worry too much about WBA/Leicester getting confidence from it. They're just as likely to pick up injuries and bookings/suspensions as they are confidence.

And as you say, Sheff U have a ridiculously good record in the Cups under Clough so it's not even a shock to lose to them.

Unfortunately AFC Wimbledon, despite having many chances against a fragile Liverpool defence, couldn't upset them (1-2). Lucky for Liverpoool that they still have the services of Steven Gerrard with his two goals.

Burnley tie Spurs 1-1 with a Sam Vokes goal for a replay at WHL, where if successful they would host Lecicester in the next round, which would be good for us having a couple of our relegation rivals knock themselves out.
