    Great idea.

But you've only got 10 players there.

    And no ****ing left back!

I'd add Attack playing a Robinson like role as well.

Well, you're not wrong there. He can't afford any more injuries. The Hudd will have to start to get a game under his belt and I believe Ince and McGuire will get a start also. I believe Brady needs more match time as he is nowhere near as sharp as he was.

It's a great game for players like Maguire, Brady and Ince. I am looking forward to seeing Ince play a full game (fingers crossed he does) I do believe there is a real player in him.

I am sure Hernandez and Jelavic will be on the bench, maybe come on for the last 20 minutes if needed.

If you're going to completely ignore all that science has taught us, then you may as well hand Benson & Hedges round the dressing room at half-time too.

I think people are taking things a bit far now. If you don't want to start either Hernandez or Jelavic then fair enough - but not to have at least one (and probably both) on the bench would be too much.

And as for Figgy at LWB... I really hope it doesn't come to that.

Prior to Christmas, I wanted Bruce to play a near full-strength team to try to get a good result to help build momentum.

Given that we have won 2 out of the last 3, I am more interesting now in the reserves being played.

    Tucky.

    I was taking the piss.

Sorry, I assume everyone knows everything everybody else posts.

I'd made that point in a previous few threads. I think the Christmas hols games are daft for that very reason.

    Soz.

Now that would be a bit daft, Chazz. Why not play him as he was yesterday? <whistle>

I would imagine these are what we have left so I would hope for something like:

    Jakupovic
    ---- McShane – Maguire -- Bruce – Figueroa ----
    ---- Elmohamady – Quinn – Huddlestone – Ince ---
    --- Aluko ---
    --- Sagbo ---

Subs: Harper, Davies, Chester, Livermore, Meyler, Brady, Jelavic.

    Others fit in squad:
    McGregor, , Harper, Hernandez.

Chazz could always play Maguire at LB, but I wouldn't advise it.

If Rosie and Robertson have injuries then Brady will be the last player we will see vs Arsenal I'd presume

No brainer, wholesale changes, we`re too thin on the ground to risk the main starters, so as been mentioned pretty much what we have left will be playing against the Arse, be nice to see some of the youngsters given a go, any of them up to speed ? my knowledge of the young guns is piss poor i`m afraid.

I hope that Bruce will go for it and not play a bunch of reserves. Arsenal are vulnerable at the back, particularly on set pieces. I'd go

    Jakupovic
    Macca Chester Maguire Brady
    Elmo Livermore Thudd Quinn
    Aluko Hernandez

I don't think Hernandez will start, if you saw him after the game yesterday, he was out of his feet. If SB plays any of the 2 it would be Jelevic, though I am sure he will put Sagbo and Aluko up front.

I think likewise, and I think it could be damaging to play him. He took a good few knocks and bangs on Thursday so will still be pretty sore, excluding the risk of injury, I don't think he'd physically be able to put in anything like the performance he gave us against Everton and a **** game just as he's starting to pick up could dent his confidence and be a bit of one step forwards two steps back.

I'd still have him on the bench though just in case it's close and we need something extra late on.
