What team would you like to see Bruce put out on Sunday against Arsenal. I want us to beat Arsenal and believe when playing well you should try and keep the run going, but financially the league is more important and given our current position can we risk Hernandez/Jelavic or any more defenders getting injured?

Do you want the best squad possible and go for the win, but risk injuries to an already weakened squad, or would you prefer her focused on the league and rest key players?

I think Huddlestone's got to play, as have Ince and probably Figgy. Good time to bring McShane back into the fold if he's going to. Other players who are perpetual bench warmers, Sagbo, Aluko I'd play. Maguire I'd guess. I'd play McGregor. I'd rest our spine: deffo rest Jel-dez, Mey-more and Dav-er.

    Harper
    Elmo Chester Maguire McShane Brady
    Quinn Huddlestone Livermore
    Ince
    Sagbo

I reckon it will be something like that.

I'd play the same team as finished on Wed...

Seriously, my first game of the year, I wanna see us beat them.

Players can get injured in training, that aint gonna be stopped "just in case" is it? We need to get this team used to winning and playing together, this is a perfect opportunity for that.

Hernandez needs to experience more English footy, and this is a golden chance to take Arsenal down too.

No reason for Greegsy to be not in goal too.

First team, do Arsenal a good un, carry on moving up the league, win the FA Cup this season, take Europe seriously next.

Kinell I should be a manager.

If you didnt go yesterday mate you really wont get just how much physical effort the lads put in. They dont want to be playing Arsenal away in 3 days. Good long rest is needed.

Due to the busy schedule, we have to rest players who have played the last couple of games. My guess at the team:

    McGregor
    Elmo - Maguire - McShane - Dudgeon
    Aluko - Thudd - Livermore - Quinn - Brady
    Sagbo

This is presuming that Quinn's suspension doesn't count for cup competitions?

    Edit: Ince instead of Brady.

The players who have played the most minutes in the past week are:

    270 McGregor, Bruce, Davies, Elmo
    241 Meyler
    223 Brady
    213 Rosenior

Out of those, I think Meyler is the one most in need of a rest. Elmo never seems to run out of puff (he even had the energy to start a barney with Brady yesterday during a stoppage!), and the others play in positions that are slightly less demanding physically.

That said, the return of Huddlestone and Quinn probably means he'll protect Livermore too. And the availability of McShane and Maguire might well mean rests for Bruce and/or Davies.

Up front, he might start Hernandez, but I expect Jelavic to be another one held back.

Most likely starters: Huddlestone, Quinn, Aluko. And I expect Ince will get a run-out too.

So if a player 'mans up' and covers 500m less than his usual distance, is that good for the team?

I don't think you'll be far wrong although he might play the Tea Lady instead of Sagbo if he is hoping to get a goal.

They do count - but he only had a one-man ban. Professional foul.
