As good as i thought we were and not taking it away from the lads. Everton were out on their feet by the start of the second half. Baines looked shagged first half and Naismith dropped into midfield was blowing like ****. We picked up loads of injuries. We may all laugh but all these games do take their toll on players. Think any fans who turn up at the Arse may get a spot on the subs bench
Why not have some balls and dodge the fudge? There was 9 points there, why not go for them? I accept your opinion on Rosenior, without calling you a **** because I disagree, but the assist argument is totally pathetic, someone else might have scored two - grow up.
What happened when Rosenior went off? Who played where, how well did they play. Get off the Bailey's, it's obviously too strong for you. Toast?
You don't think a 10-0 loss would have an adverse affect on the side? Who exactly benefits from sending out a bunch of youngsters to get humiliated? As an aside, you put Sagbo on your bench whilst starting the likes of Clarke, Annan and Rossi. Sagbo is on the fringes of the first team, trains hard, needs match fitness, and in terms of ability, he's poles apart from the aforementioned. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see one of our own developed players in the first team, but the fact is they're not good enough. A few of them are good enough for league 2 and one or two even league 1, but none of them should be anywhere near our first team. Some players need a rest, no doubt, but why just write off the game and send out a team to get slaughtered. Might as well play the womens side in case any of youngsters get injured and then can't go out on loan.
The argument that someone else might have scored two is just as 'pathetic'. Someone else might also have got sent off or scored an own goal, but don't let that get in the way of your argument. It seems you need to 'grow up' also.
Really enjoyed the performance, Jelly and Hernandez ran them ragged at the back, and Meyler and Livermore worked their sock off, as did the rest of the team. I thought McGuire looked good when he came on. Rossy's cross to Elmo was spot on as was Hernandez ball to Jelly for his goal. Davies looked back to his best and both Chezzy and Bruce didn't put a foot wrong.
Should I have me kit on ready then? I'll wear a tracky over the top obviously, I'm not a total John Terry. Part of me wants to see that team today again on Sunday, but, I fully understand if its nothing like it. Be interesting to see how Wenger plays it, his backs up against the wall in the league, and an early cup exit of which they're holders would do him no favours at all. I think the reason Everton looked so ****ed was because we really moved the ball a lot too. Interesting times.
Of course he did a job. But he'd of got skinned out wide. He's a big big boy. Bruce in the middle talked to harry throughout. Harry to the right of him Davies to the left. Brady on the left and Chezz on the right. Elmo moved inside and with Meyler and Jake the energy they expended was amazing.
Well for starters I don't think we'd lose any game 10-0, I wasn't being serious. If the standard of some of our youth is as you said, league 1 or 2, it wouldn't be 10-0, even League 1 and 2 teams don't lose that heavily. But even if lost, say 3-0, they're just kids, they need to learn how to play against the top players and playing against the likes of Boston and Gateshead couldn't begin to compare to walking out at the Emirates. You're probably right, I was being very harsh on Sagbo, he'll probably start, but it wouldn't surprise me to see some of our (and their) kids make an appearance.
WHAT A PERFORMANCE! The lads proved how good they can be today, and that's without a few players that we "missed." Brucey got it spot on today, Ramirez was outstanding in the first half! A few quick things that have been on my mind since the game were... 1. Why did Elmo get so wound up just before Jelavic or Brady missed a FK in the second half? 2. Didn't Ross Barkley look like a twat?! Clear dive for a penalty and was looking to go down whenever possible. 3. Abel Hernandez flying through the air, getting up - virtually giving them the ball and then winning the free kick as there was no advantage. Terrific. Happy 2015 everyone, that's a hell of a way to start it.
Are you really that daft? I am not thinking someone may have been sent off as it would enter the realms of Crystal Ball logic you use. He gave an assist, he was on the pitch, Maguire was not, rumpy ****ing pumpy, you thick twat. How's Rosenior tonight?
What about the blatant penalty in the first half, the foul was at least a foot inside the box. I bet MOTD don't show it.
How's Rosenior tonight? No idea, I don't follow players like a stalker. You're not using Crystal Ball logic as you put it, but still put this in you argument, you ****ing hypocrite: I might take you more seriously if you didn't have such a vendetta against me. Little tip - there's an ignore button. Use it. Goodnight.
Hard work this, but when he (Maguire) came on and replaced Rosenior, when he had a really good game, where did he play - could he have done that without having Rosenior brought on in between? In other words, take out the Rosenior substitution and do what you have described above - all of the players you mention were already on the pitch. This nonsense you are arguing deflects from my original point - Rosenior was carrying a niggle, he was seen limping just a day (I believe) earlier, Steve Bruce expressed concern over him, so why risk him unnecessarily - why risk a valuable substitution, how long did we play (again) with no subs left? Has the manager not seen the potential of Maguire, the potential that was blatantly obvious to us all today - or is everyone (as in your everyone) wrong and Maguire did not excel? As it happens he (Rosenior) got an assist, who knows what would have happened had he not come on, maybe 'old club syndrome' would have won through for us. or maybe the team won have carried on performing as they did and win with some style.
Ah, does that mean you'll stop abusing folk and just exchange views? Vendetta - what a bloody fool you are; if you can't take it don't bloody give it. Sleep tight, mind the bugs don't bite - as I say to bairns.
Sorry if it's offended you, but there was a valid point to be made. What have you to offer on any of the football points?
Davies played wide and Maguire played centre back - except for when he had his dribble to the far corner.
