What a big result today - 1 point that feels like 4! That's all we ask commitment and desire - and again we got that in spades the rollercoaster moves on to a slight upward curve please log in to view this image
Terrific performance considering the 'homer' ref gave them one incredible decision - watch on MOD - the first pen hits a sliding Wes full in the face - neither hand was even close - to add further insult Danny Simpsons was clearly ball to hand not hand to ball - got the feeling that the ref knew he had done a couple of ricks because he could have given Borini a pen in the second half which might just have been one (Wes again) but turned it down flat - that said he booked Wasyl for a challenge in the first half but let Sissoko off for a carbon copy in the second and that with Sissoko showing obvious dissent at the decision - refs need to stop being in awe of the biggest clubs and start being consistent on the decisions - rant over - we need to keep this momentum going - great strike from Nuge by the way ... credit where due = the irony is that he spurns much simpler chances ... also a great finish by Jeff - great first touch then bang ...
The spirit and belief these players continue to show is remarkable. We just need to inject some more quality now in Jan and hope we can push on 2 home games coming up now v Stoke and Villa. Can only dream of 6 points from them mmmmmmmmmmm
A very good point which goes without saying, but that was disgusting refing. I´m talking about Morgan´s `faceball` I hope to see that ref in the championship in 2 weeks.
I'm completely hoarse after that. Was still celebrating and in awe of Nugents goal and Jeff thunders in a peach too. Wonderful stuff, shame about the referee though because we should have won that 2-0. Don't know how we're going to get on without Riyad and Jeff though, they were brilliant again. We can and will do this.
Second best performance of the season (never going to out do the Man Utd one) full of commitment hard work and skill. Praise to Pearson for setting up the team to have a go and the players responded. So easy for them to have dropped their bundle after those two early decisions.
Agree with all this. The ref was unbelievably bad today to the point of bias. On performances, we're unlucky we haven't got nine points out of nine over Christmas. Would be encouraging, except for the imminent departure of Schlupp and Mahrez to the ACON.
I believe if the refs stop having shockers! 3 points we've been robbed of since Xmas (pen on Vards v spurs) and yesterday's horror show. Credit to the lads but we are getting nothing from the ****ers with the whistles
Here, here. JV´s was a clear pen & v LFC, what the f**k was the w***er thinking. I refuse to call him a ref btw.
Our luck has got to change soon, hasn't it??? Of the games I've seen, only on the telly mind you, we've been the better side in most of them and got nothing out of them. Admittedly mainly through our own stupid mistakes, but here's hoping that with these last 2 results we've turned a corner. mind you, I don't fancy we'll get anything out of Man U at Old Trafford, a bit of revenge might be coming our way methinks
It will be hard but it´s good that you can use those words though Calnefoxile, if you catch my drift.
Great result. I stopped paying attention after the second Liverpool goal (fell asleep after a pretty heavy New Year!), but what a comeback! Brendan Rodgers claiming he was pleased with a point says it all, and I'm just sad we couldn't go the full way so I could rub it in some glory-hunting Liverpool fans' faces. Shame we yet again have to hear the gushing over Gerrard after our game, but an even bigger shame that we have to lose form-players Mahrez and Schlupp just when we have a few winnable games coming up; Knockaert and Abrighton need to show why they're so highly regarded, and I'm looking forward to seeing Tom Lawrence. We need to keep the same system, and I can't believe after earlier performances how valuable keeping Nugent in is. Come on Leicester, we can do this!
Fantastic performance against Liverpool. We showed everything we need to survive - commitment, organisation, ability and desire. Great to see that we had not only the confidence but also the skill to play some incisive one-touch football. Two of the most absurd penalties you'll ever see awarded in any game, but what the f**k was Morgan doing on his back (again!)? I said previously that I thought Mahrez needed another 10 pounds of muscle on him before he would ever become really effective, but what do I know? He's shown real skill and a willingness to compete in the last few games. He seems to glide over the surface rather than run. And now there's more of an end product from him. I'm sure he looked to be nursing a badly bruised thumb at the end of the match yesterday. Surely he can't go to the ACON with a terrible injury like that! Schlupp is another one who has shown what he is capable of when he can play with confidence. Liverpool just couldn't live with him. With Hull winning and the other bottom sides picking up points, we need six points from our next 2 games to turn the season round.
