Oh happy days...good results elsewhere apart from Man City (boo). I had to stop watching tv as my BP shot up....I took my pills early tonight. What's a threatened heart attack compared to a result like that :)

Wanyama was just wonderful to watch today. His touches in the middle of the park, alongside his incredible power, add up to something beautiful.

Good win. Forster was really good; made a great save to stop it going 1-1 and then we scored right after that to change the game completely. Still, I have to give MOTM to Wanyama.

I thought the defense overall was solid. Arsenal has tons of fast guys and tricky dribblers but they kept their heads and used their physical size and positioned themselves well. They couldn't stop a lot of what Arsenal did but they cleared just about every cross.

Francis is a twat. Loved watching Merson suffer.

Great game. The two goals were gifts but we more than had enough chances to have earned the win. Very difficult to pick a Motm, maybe Vic, Gardos or Forster.

Mick Mccarthy was in the crowd. :emoticon-0102-bigsm He must be delighted with being the next team to visit us.

JWP was great too. Should have had a hat trick but he made the second goal with absolutely exquisite control.

Every single player did their bit today, and for anyone who hasn't seen it, yes, Arsenal were poor, but they were torn to pieces in defence by our boys, and offered nothing in attack apart from a couple of decent shots which Fraser did well to keep out.

So Toby makes a great RB too. Why am I not surprised in the slightest?

Someone should tell Forster we're playing Arsenal every week.

Now time for revenge against Man U...

Would have been nice to have been JWP, but it was Steven Davis, who you just know has that technical skill.

Also, I thought when Tadic collected a high ball from Alderweireld, and killed it between his legs, pivoted and bent it around the post, that was just absolutely bloody superb skill. If that had gone in it would have been the goal of the game, because it wouldn't have been anything to do with an Arsenal defensive error.

I would struggle to give a MotM as this was a very strong team performance
Forster made some very important saves (esp the Sanchez one), Gordos was solid, Fonte was well Fonte, Big Vic was massive and bossed the middle...so many options
Well done to everyone....take a look at the league table guys

Trevor Francis did make me smile at one point: he said "I've used the word 'shambolic' about Arsenal's defence twice today, may I say it again?"

Congrats Saints.. you were the only team that looked like winning that today.. Best of luck for the rest of your season.

But I hope we can both make the top four. Wouldn't that be something eh?

Indeed. We've both got to better ManU. For our part, we think that's possible down here.

Mick McCarthy was there too, for Ipswich. Doesn't have the same significance though, does it..?
