Let's hope the 'real' Stoke turn up...I remember us thrashing Liverpool 3-1 at the Brit last season. If we do that again with Super Jon, Super Mame and ever so super duper Bojan up front...ShawX & Huthy at the back...who knows. Happy new year Ricc
Don't want to be pedantic, but I will be anyway! We lost 5-3 to Liverpool last season, you are referring to the Boxing Day fixture from the season before which was a brilliant game, but was followed by a month or two of abysmal football that I am trying my best to forget.
It has been the end of the year that we probably deserved, we should have more points than we have. We still have weaknesses, but all in all it seems to be getting back to how we were in the later parts of last year. I think Hughes has got his head around the rotation now and everyone seems to be doing their part - but I am worried about the transfer window - lots of rumours about Shawx, Begovic, Huth, Bojan & Crouch.
We are in a good position given those home defeats against Villa, Leicester and Burnley. A good Xmas with the back to back wins so well done. I have not heard any rumours about departures, Smithers, and would like to think we will keep hold of Shawcross and Begovic. I also think Bojan will stay. However, who knows what goes on behind the scenes and within the media. I am keeping my fingers crossed that we retain our important players at least until the summer.
