I dont think they would want Bruce to be honest but I would tend to think that if they really came in for him he would be gone quick.

Yeah I think he'd see this as an ideal time to go

100% agreed. There may be part of him is wondering if he's taken us as far as he feels we can go and he is (rightly or wrongly) under a bit of pressure here. Can't see Newcastle going for him, doubt the Geordie's would be too pleased with his appointment but maybe they'd take anyone over Pardew?

    Oh ****ing please.

I can't see pardew leaving for palace though.

I definitely can't see Newcastle coming for Bruce if he does. Not with his record over the past 12 months.

Thing is when does Ashley ever do what the Geordies want?

SB does have a bit of a history of moving on after a while at clubs his average time at clubs he's managed is about 2/3 seasons, Birmingham being the exception(5 seasons)

Newcastle won't be remotely interested in Bruce.

It wouldnt be the first time a manager of a team wanted to have a new challenge. He could do better than Palace would would imagine, but maybe he wants to move to London or something.

    You're probably right.

But Ashley does have a history of making strange managerial appointments.

Pardew, Kinnear and Keegan where all left field.

I just can't see it, he's on a big wage at Newcastle!! They're also higher up the table with a better squad. He's pally with the owner (?) he's just got over a rough period and is on top of the world. Really can't think of one reason he would leave, but as you say the bookies are rarely wrong.
