Think that's harsh on some of them, for the minutes to goals/assists played, Falcao is actually pretty decent.

Here's my list of flops from players bought this season. My flop criteria includes their return in decent performances, how much were paid for them alongside how much they played for when available and up against their rival positions i.e. Moreno can't even get into the team now when he has no serious competition whereas Sagna (admittedly free) is never going to displace Zabaleta cause he's a beast.

Forster? (to be fair i think he's only here because i can't really think of any other keepers bought this window, probably should be empty and he has made a few clangers recently, only other keeper i can think of is Courtois but he's the best gk in the league)

Lovren massive flop, cost 20m. Enough said
    Alberto Moreno
    Mangala
    Rio Ferdinand

    Lallana
    Rodwell
    Markovic

    Balotelli
    Abel Hernandez
    Lukaku

Targett will be the England left back for the next 10 years. Forget about Shaw

TBH regarding Mane (A few Batemans drunk during the Chelski game here in Lincoln) If you don't know who the **** a player is then you aren't expecting anything so they can't be a flop. Transfer fee means nothing becuase youyy can take great plkayers on free Transfers. I had never heardf of hooim. Most had nevbger heard of him. Was a bit pissed off with his performaces but he has been ace the last 2 games :)

    I'm sure you can tell I wasn't being 100% serious was I?

Just a bit of a laugh at our ex-players for not having shone yet.

Not proud of spending that amount then..? It will be as high as £31M if Shaw makes all the right progression. Luke is an excellent defender and very fast indeed, being able to sprint back from an attacking position to take the ball away from a striker. But as an attacking force he has remarkably little end product, whether it is in assists or goals scored. That was his not-so-glaring statistic while he was with us. One could have put this down to youth that would have benefited from being at Southampton, but then we wouldn't have got Bertrand, who, at 25, is quite simply a much more rounded player. Not as good a defender, already Luke is slightly ahead there, simply from his positional sense and speed, but by goodness does Bertrand have a better attacking and all-round game.

It might read as if there are sour grapes being trodden, but believe me, after the initial shock of losing Shaw, acquiring Bertrand for half a season, and probably signing him permanently, I'll take the latter and the probable significant proportion of what is left of that sizeable transfer fee, be it £31M or £27M, every time, and good luck with Luke.
