It might eventually if enough people moan about it but I would have thought it would be a minor issue at present whilst he rectifies bigger issues that arise. In short, I have no idea
PS...I'm on PC now so I've had a look and I can't see the option for changing username either. Having thought about it, it may have been something that came up but wasn't resolved. I've scanned through the comments on the mod board but can't see anything so I've asked the question again
Edit: changing username should be available tomorrow. Its a addition to the software that's had to be paid for. Should have had the option added two weeks ago but its been delayed.

Asked mick earlier today about the ****e site phenomenom and to be frank he said hes gonna get it sorted but this was a rush job to be ready for the transfer window as the old vbulletin software is dying/dead. There were to many issues with anti viruses giving false positives etc. For what is the sites busiest period with guests/ new members.
He assures me the 50 shades of grey will be dealt with in due course once the major bugs are sorted.

I won't be as active any more because of the lack of app. Don't like using the proper site via mobile, far too slow and small.
This format is actually better on the mobile than the last if it wasnt so ****ing grey.
