Well that was an unexpected late Christmas pressie, cheers fellas. Expected you to tonk us after that early goal, but your players seemed to ease up. I love you mackems!
Oh meant to add as well, beating the Mags always seems to take your mojo away for the following games, happily against us.
We'll pass it into nowhere but when the simple obvious passes presented it self it was long ball or deep cross. Our performance was shocking.
We should have expected that really, typical Sunderland. Hull deserved some luck with the officials after some dodgy decisions going against them recently. We were dire though, pens aside we were garbage. As soon as we bought Altidore on it was over. They guy is useless and it was like playing with 10 men. We missed Wickham today
Disagree, Altidore had one very good moment. Ball lumped up to him (surprise, surprise) took it down brilliantly on his chest and sent it to the wing, only for it to result in nothing, but he certainly contributed something
We played the wrong type of game for a game where the ref was blatantly against us. 90% of the 50/50's went in favour of Hull. The ref set his stall out by booking our players as early as he could, hence taking away our ability to get stuck in. It was the 50/50's and the yellow cards that won that game for Hull. The blatant handballs were just adding insult to injury. I think some players actually believe that some refs are legit. When he started booking us for nowt, Poyet should have changed our strategy to possesion based passing. 1 nil to the ref.
I must have missed that because we were sat counting how many times he gave the ball away, which was just about everytime he touched it.
Jozy was given the ball once properly in an attacking area. Fletch didn't get one touch in the last 20 minutes. Do you wan't them both to grow an extra half foot? Think your gripe should be with Coates for his repetitive useless long balls from the back and AJ with his easy to defend deep crosses. Judge our forwards on proper service not no service at all.
He missed one pass mate. One. he only touched the ball 6 times. Like I said, service. Just checked From 80 minutes on Fletch touched the ball twice. one on his own half the second was kick of. Service.
Jozy was poor as usual. There was a moment where he had a bit of space on the outside of the box and because his decision making is so slow he ended up having to turn away and place the ball back to the wing when he could have burst into the box. The quicker we sell this plonker the better.
Typical Sunderland! Peaks are always followed by troughs! The number of times a team drained of players and confidence always seems to come up against us and turn us over! Its ridiculous! Most would have expected a Sunderland win today but i didnt! We never seem to turn the screw! A win today would have seen us looking up instead of down! I know for the fact that we will always be looking over our shoulders! Our performances will always be hindered by the threat of relegation! We will never drag ourselves away from that! As soon as we come up against teams that we 'expect' to beat the players rarely perform! Which worries me when looking at the rest of our home fixtures! Exasperated!
Can't believe Jozy is getting all the stick after AJs performance. Some ****ing backwards views on this board.
i for one would not swap 3 points for something which has passed ,these are the games we must start winning at home against a team whos recent results have been awful, these are must win games surely
If that is the attitude of the fans, i'm not surprised it transcends into the players. That's no excuse for today, thank fkuc i only saw the last 20 mins as we were so disjointed i struggled to believe that was the same group who turned out on sunday. I hope Gus lays into them, and Marriner.
He blew it from the start mate he gets credit when its due, but he often plays the wrong team and this is worrying, I could see this situation developing, of course you always hope for the best, but we have been here too many times to be surprised, but it still hurts to give these cheats a fourth easy ride, it must be some sort of record, even for us.
It was a poor performance from the team. (Under the conditions of a biased ref) I wouldn't single out Jozy, I'd just say that he never brought anything to the game that remotely looked like bringing a change to the result. Jozy has had all the chances he could ever wish for and the fact is he just isnt good enough. I'd be suprised if the clown ever scores another goal for the club.
Isn't he gone in Jan? I feel your pain too, it looks exactly the same as when we had him, and he was meant to be the next biggest thing for the USA at the time. I'll admit to a small sigh of relief when he came on.
