Eriksen nearly adds insult to injury and then it's over. Another dodgy 2-1 away win. Good to be picking up the points, but that's another performance that will be easily forgotten, to put it mildly. Started the game well and were completely in command for the first half an hour, then went to bits. Got gradually worse as the game went on and hung on grimly to take the points. Need to play far, far better than that to get anything out of the next two games. Team still doesn't seem balanced.
Another worthy candidate in the ferocious competition for ugliest win of the year. Christmas dinner? The rain? Overconfidence? I don't know, but all our bad habits came back today. The worst of it was that Leicester wanted it more and were first to every ball. Well, I'll certainly take the three points. Nice finishes from Kane and a great free kick from Eriksen, even if the keeper really shouldn't get beaten at his near post, especially on one from that range.
Leicester didn't deserve to lose that, had loads of chances as we were poor second half. Vardy deserves to lose though, disgusting piece of ****, don't know how the ref didn't send him off. They should've had the second penalty shout but I don't know what Don Goodman's on about with the first, he got the ball and that's all that matters, never a penalty. Never ever a pen. Thank **** we got away with that!
still worried we cant keep winning games like this, at some point our luck will run out and we will take a real hammering.
We seem to be developing a way of winning ugly with admittedly, a large dose of luck thrown in. I can't complain with any kind of win though to be fair, especially after recent performances when we have capitulated. At least in games where we have lead, then conceded, we've gone onto win the game. Perhaps this period of finding ourselves and digging deep will help us in the long run and I also feel that perhaps the rigorous fitness work is coming to fruition. Whichever way we look at it, I'm amazed and delighted that we are sat just two points off 4th place which is just baffling when you consider how up and down our season has been. A good run of form in 2015 and you never know, it could turn out to be a decent season after all. Still, I'd take a top 6 place and a clear, improved overall look to our team going into next if I'm honest. A win for QPR tonight will cap off my Xmas nicely
Agreed, I still don't like winning whilst playing badly. On the plus side, and you'll probably disagree, it's really been our away games where we haven't performed, at home we're playing much better across the whole game.
We had much the worst of it in our last two away games, both in a hard rain, for whatever that's worth. I wouldn't call us mudders. Enjoy being ahead of Arsenal for the few minutes it lasts! QPR has a perfect away record (no wins, no draws, eight losses).
Lloris and Vertonghen was very good for you. Schlupp and Mahrez destroyed your full backs all game Mahrez's free kick hits the bar while Eriksen's goes in. It's just the fine margins like that where we are getting punished. We deserved a lot more but fair play to you and good luck for the rest of the season. The January window can't come soon enough for us
I always think if your playing badly it will eventually catch up with you and vice versa if your playing well, One things for sure, we cant perform like that in the next couple of games as we will certainly get punished
