Should be able to field a strong side. Get 3 points here against a good side and go take points off spurs two days later.

I do not expect to lose this or the spurs match but we could get anything from 2 to 6 points. The key thing should be for us to get max points from our home games.

Need at least 4 points from toons and spurs. Arsenal and Liverpool have both got two easy games coming up. 10 points above Liverpool and in the Fergie era that would be them done, but I just want us so far ahead they lose the will to live tbh.

Herrera injured, Fellaini still sick. I would love Rafael to start at RB. For Newcastle Cheick Tiote suspended.

Games coming thick and fast so a bit of squad rotation. I'd like to see...

    -----------------De Gea
    Rafael------Jones-------Evans------Young
    -----------------Carrick
    Valencia-------------------------Di Maria
    -----------------Mata
    ----------Rooney------Falcao

i know we've got a **** load of injuries, but can we please not play 3 at the back? i know it means playing the calamity that is evans there if fit, but i don't like 3 at all, we've all over the place at the back when we do

Just seen the team. 3 at the back again and Di Maria doesn't even make the bench. Rafael on the bench yet again.

Can't help feeling this is pure kafka. Lets just throw all our strikers on and hope for the best. Strikers are only as good as the midfielders behind them. I just don't see Carrick and Mata having enough support around them but I will take a deep breath and wait and see what the dutch quiff has planned. FFS

We've struggled to break them down. Rooney in midfield isn't working BUT when we finally get a chance to counter attack we score.

1-0 Rooney doing what he does best...in the final third and scoring.

    2-0 Rooney again.

Our tackling and interceptions are saving us. Lovely ball from Mata to Rooney.

It's an average Newcastle side, but fair play to them they've pressed us really well and our midfield has struggled to deal with it. After the second goal, the game opened up as Newcastle came forward and left spaces that's given us a bit more freedom.

Rooney is lethal in the final third but been pretty dire in midfield. Take off RVP, bring on Rafael and push Valencia up to create a 4-4-2 and bring some balance.

Great counter attack. Lovely ball by Rooney. Started off by Mata...from his own box.

    3-0
