Is it right you have not sold out? How the hell is that? It's one of the best footballing days of the year, the tickets are not expensive and it's a short trip for you. Shocking effort.
We have sold well, well in excess of 40,000 so far and the home tickets are expected to sell out. If you lot pull your weight it will sell out.
Whilst acknowledging the wind up nature of the OP, it's a fair point. The truth is that many can't be arsed whilst Allam is in charge.
On the contrary, I am not on a wind up. I was genuinely suprised to hear that you had not sold out, especially having only taken the minimum available allocation. In recent seasons you have generally brought decent numbers and you would expect that Boxing Day would see a boost, not a decrease.
Awful defensive football No attacking threat Manager with no apparent Plan B Fans peed off with the owner & his continued petulance It's bloody ****hole Sunderland......nuff said
Unfortunately we are supporting the team piss poor away at home currently. We took more to Rochdale in League 2. Several factors contribute to this. 1. The club has distanced itself from the loyal supporter base. 2. The cost of PL football. 3. The ****e sterile atmosphere at Hull City away matches. I haven't missed a boxing day fixture for as long as I can remember but I'm not going. And I like the Stadium of Light and the drinking holes before the match.
same reason i can't be bothered to go. Football at the end of the day is about Entertainment. I haven't seen any hardly all season!
I am not going to Sunderland to support Assem Allam. I am going to support HULL CITY. . my home town club.
That from a fan of a club whose Stadium has around 20,000 empty seats every game!! Do you know last season, when the ref blew the final whistle, there were more City fans in the the Stadium of Shyte than Slumberland fans? Appalling "Support"!
I went to Chelsea. Cost a fortune and not many supporting Hull City. It was full of Middle class day trippers with iPads and no vocal chords.
Maths not your strongpoint? Sunderland have averaged over 40,000 for past few seasons in a 48,000 stadium.
If the team don't know you are there what is the point of being there? Sitting there like you are at the theatre makes you a spectator not a supporter.
A rhetorical question (and not just aimed at you 1904) ................ how can you be said to be supporting your team if you're just sat mutely ''spectating'' ? In my opinion, for whatever that's worth, if you're just sat, you're not supporting, you're spectating. Edited to add .......... not plagiarising CC, we were typing together !!
I will be stood singing ...as usual.....It's in the blood....I couldnt sit quiet at football if I tried.
I agree, it is shocking mate; we always sell our full allocation to matches at Chelsea, L'pool and Man Utd though - there won't be as many as we'd like on Boxing Day but I think they'll be plenty of singers and shouters, they tend to pick out matches like Sunderland, Everton, Stoke, WB etc.
99% spectating against Swansea then Spes? We really didnt help the team one bit. Loudest noises were moans and groans.
Sorry Chazz, the OP was concerning Sunderland AWAY, my reply is re. away fixtures ....... I should have made it clearer. In agreement with your sentiment though, the support of late at the KC is ****ing dire.
