History is just that in football, it has little bearing on how good a team currently is, you are only as good as your last game! I am sure you wouldn't accept my claim that Sunderland are the better team because we have won more top division titles than Newcastle
Your first two sentences contradict themselves. The first one says sunderland only scored once basically because they only scored once. Then you say you think mags deserved a draw. They didn't and they didn't get one. Obvious really, isn't it?
I have to say, in the moment this was better than the 3-0's. The fact it happened last minute, the fact it was so tense, that nano-second of silence when AJ's first touch sat up and we all KNEW it was gonna get smashed in, that feeling when you've accepted a draw is a decent result, almost lost and then scored a counter attacking goal of Real Madrid calibre. That moment of euphoria when it went in, the partial blindness the screaming like a girl brought on, it was ****ing magic, surpases Edwards goal as my greatest single moment as an SAFC fan. I will love AJ forever, yes, he should do more with his ability, but **** me does he play the big games. It was just a fantastic emotion when you feel like you are gonna pop there and then on the spot, everyone in the ground, Mackem and Mag, will understand what I mean about the nano-second thing, it was surreal as ****.
My lass chirped up with a little gem today. "I don't get how they say it shudda been a draw coz they didn't score one"
