This is a sign the real problem is being addressed; it's pretty much what I have been saying for weeks - look at the coaching staff for why a decent set of players are not motivated. This way Bruce gets a lifeline as long as his replacement is top drawer - there may be a temporary coach who surprises everyone.

 

I wonder if Erik Black is fed up at Wigan yet?

Assistant Manager Steve Agnew has left the club to join Championship side Middlesbrough as assistant head coach.

Agnew, who has already enjoyed two spells at the Teeside club as a coach and care taker manager, joined the Tigers in 2012 as part of Steve Bruce’s coaching staff. During his time in Hull he has helped the club reach promotion in 2013 as well as being instrumental in the clubs Premier League survival and FA Cup run last season.

Speaking on Agnew’s departure, manager Steve Bruce said, “We wish Steve all the best of luck for the future, he has done a remarkable job as my assistant manager since 2012. Middlesbrough is a club close to his heart, his family are based in the area and so therefore we have reluctantly allowed him to move on.”

Vice chairman Ehab Allam added, “Everyone at the club thanks Steve for his hard work and dedication over the past two and a half seasons, whilst we are sad to see him leave we also must see this as an opportunity and we look forward announcing his successor in the coming weeks.”

you might have a point, always have thought that our dugout seems to be very subdued during game 's no support or passion that you see from other teams dugouts .

 

This presents us with a massive opportunity, loads of options and short term why not bring in Windass for his passion?

 

Roy Keane is available the players wouldn't dare not put a shift in if he was here.

Very bad timing. This reinforces my belief (admittedly without any concrete evidence other then hearsay, rumour and Paul McShane's tweets) that something is very
