It seems Hyypia is suffering the same fate as most young managers who think they can dive right into the deep end.

Maybe Rodgers coaching job offer from the summer still stands.

That'd be worth a punt imo.
In fact, the way we're playing, he could probably make the first team.

Hyypia style of defending is in a deep line.

This doesn't suit Rodgers as we like to play with a high line.

    Could be risky IMO.

High line only really works if your keeper controls the area behind and ours don't. Perhaps we'd be better off, though I'm not a big fan of defending deep.
Brad is a bit pants in many ways, but a few times he came off his line a bit sharper than Migs would have.

High line or not, he can at least tell the useless muppets how to defend set pieces and mark runners!

Rodgers won't have him back in a coaching role. That'd be admitting that he isn't a good enough coach to make our team defend well, and his ego won't let him do that.

In the end at least he showed some respect for Brighton by resigning. I presume he gets no payout then?

I agree.... Guys need 5-10 years under a manager and time to build a team of staff for themselves plus a knowledge of scouting too

Is a shame I was really excited when he joined brighton but it's just not worked for him. Hasn't helped with selling best players and replacing them with tat (sound familiar?) as well as having near enough a whole new team trying to bed in together as well as 5 loan signings starting near enough every game.

He started so well at Leverkusen but only won like 2 in last 20 there and has done the same at brighton.

A couple of years away from management and as a number 2 wouldn't be a bad thing for him.

May be some truth in that lol but I hope Rodgers gets him on board.

Others have said he might not be a great fit with the defensive line we play, but his experience would surely help the current no hopers surely?
