Burnley beat us, so anything can happen. We played well against ManU and Arsenal, so no reason that we couldn't beat Chelsea. Even a draw would keep us ticking over nicely.

I'm prepared for the worst. Honestly can't call it, and after seeing how well we played against the big teams the last few attempts and still getting nothing - Im not sure. You could argue that we are due a bit of luck! As long as we play like we did against them the last time round, I'm sure we'll come out OK.

From a fans point of view Liverpool and Spurs are the must win games imo.

Too right...could tolerate United above us (just), but we must finish higher than Spurs and Liverpool.

If we had lost to Everton I wouldn't have liked to predict where our next point would of come from?? We looked devoid of confidence as we trudged off Bramell Lane, RK deserves tremendous credit for picking them up and changing tactics to get the 3 points last Saturday.
With hopefully confidence restored and Tadic, Wanayama and Morgan rested hopefully we can kick on and gets some sort of run going. As I say getting back to back wins at Palace is crucial. Admittedly Chelsea may prove to be a blip but I really believe we can expose Arsenal's and Utd's defensive frailties if we're firing and confident.
Our record against the big boys which has been pretty dire for while now must improve.

Realistically, I can only see us taking 4 points over the next four games (and hopefully cup progress) but that would set us up quite nicely given the run of fixtures after United.

    Southampton
    Palace (A) - WIN
    Chelsea (H) - LOSE
    Arsenal (H) - DRAW
    Ipswich (H) - WIN
    United (A) - LOSE

The games before and after Xmas are tough, but that does mean that we have an easier run after that. Keep near the top and we will have a great chance of top 6 and a reasonable chance of top 4.

I think 6 points would be a very good return.

See, you posted that we weren't being happy, but now you make the Palace game "crucial" and create a worry about it. It's not crucial at all. It's a winnable game, nothing more. If we don't win it, are you therefore saying that we will spiral into doom and despair? ... Didn't think so.

It's a game against someone we could beat. We have 29 points from 17 games and that is quite repeatable from the last seventeen games. None of these upcoming games are crucial.

Couldnt agree more FLT, I am now at the stage where my thoughts are; we have overachieved and pulled ourself away from any danger of relegation, so now we can enjoy the season and see how high we can go! There aren't any games that can be called crucial whilst we are in the top half of the premier league.

I expect that the phrases "great tackle, Toby/Ryan/Jose/Clyney/Yoshi/Harry/Morgan/Vic" and "how the **** did you miss that?" will be heard a lot in the next few matches.

I think West Ham might upset a few people, they are in very good form and quite solid. I think Man U will do well but I cannot see Tottenham or Arsenal doing as well as you think just because of the volume of games in such a short time.

Realistically we arent likely to get anything from the Chelsea match, them and City are a class above the others, although they are capable of having an off day, their squad strength means they can rest 2 or 3 players from each match over xmas without if affecting them too much. All of the other 3 matches could throw up any result, so a win, draw and loss from them wouldnt be a disaster, as most of the others around us arent likely to get many more points than us.
