After my post on the derby banter thread about how I expected some decisions from the ref and some slices of luck to balance out the last few derbies, it is very unfortunate that nothing could have been further from the truth. In a just world we would have won that game with ease yesterday but the referee was clearly having none of it. Just look at your goal, for example. Not once but TWICE, the referee decided to play an excellent advantage when Adam Johnson was honest enough to keep on going instead of throwing himself to the ground to get an opponent booked. This clearly flies in the face of the correct way of refereeing, which we are shown every weekend in the Premier League, which is to blow the whistle at every given opportunity and disrupt the flow of the game. That's not even to mention how it can be fair to have a goalkeeper a full foot taller than me, who can touch both the left and right hand post simultaneously. I KNOW there is something, somewhere, in the rules about that. Enjoy your hollow victory you cheating scum Seriously though, congratulations on another deserved derby victory This will be a theme for as long as Pardew is manager, I'm starting to get used to it now. And merry Christmas to you all
My commiserations PP you must feel really bad, I can remember what it was like when we used to get beat every week Merry Christmas to you and your family
It's been a bad week as an NUFC fan, I was more upset on Wednesday tbh, I went down there and really thought we were going to Wembley. That's football though isn't it, swings and roundabouts, you're getting payback for the last few decades now Cheers lads
Opened this up ready to unload with both barrels. Then find its a sarcastic title. Fair play PP. Merry Christmas fella
Me too! I was looking forward to reading a post full of strops and insults! Still was fully entertained by its content but for different reasons! Fair play!
