Quote from Not606: "The 27-year-old has been a one-club man up to this point in his career. He was Preston's player of the year in 2009 and 2010." Qoute from Sky Sports: "The 27-year-old has spent his entire career with Preston and was named the club's player of the year in 2008/09 and 2009/10." Nice try.
Yeah I think I know more about pne than some random journalist who's been told to make a quick story on this. Ps in the lep today said lonergan is going to be first choice, oh dear
It's amazing how every reliable news source seems to think the same thing. Also: http://www.pnefcpics.com/football_preston_north_end_player_of_the_year_awards/print/1503055.html http://www.pnefcpics.com/football_p...tory_credit_action_images_/print/3169937.html
Well if we did receive £1.5 million or in the region of for Kasper and we can get Lonergan on a free it will at last be some positive news on the transfer front, I wouldn't mind seeing him in a Leeds shirt.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Lonergan some interesting bits about the guy on Wiki - 2009/10 During the summer Premier League club West Brom had 3 seperate bids rejected for Lonergan, with Ferguson claiming he valued Lonergan at £20 after a fine season establishing himself as one of the top goalkeepers in The Championship and winning Preston's player of the year award 2010/11 He was linked with moves to Man City and Wigan Athletic in the January transfer window. After relegation from The Championship Lonergan was linked with moves to Aston Villa, Cardiff and Everton. Also to be noted he was displaced for the last quarter of the season by Everton loan goalkeeper Iain Turner
Clearly photo shopped. I'm surprised your boss hasn't caught you making these pictures instead of doing work.
looks to me we will sign him he has lost his nerve somewhat thats why he was replaced by loanee but fits into our criterior CHEAP would expect a fee of £100k to be agreed as they want rid never a good position to be in when negotiating a deal!
He's an ex England U21 keeper so he can't be all that bad. Look how successful Carson and Robinson became!
Looking likely then. Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...land-Lonergan--THE-INSIDER.html#ixzz1RErqbz9G
Well someone had better let Moyes know he's crap then, it seems to be common knowledge on this board. I mean what could an ex-Preston manager possibly know about the Preston goalkeeper that Leeds United fans don't?
well apart from the fact that Lonergan was supposedly really good until last season when they got relegated. Since relegation is a team (lack of) effort, I'd imagine he can't be completely blamed and probably lost a lot of confidence. I'd assume he has ability.
