I'm enjoying our corners for the first time in years
The players actually look like we might score and we are
We also have 5 players who might do so

    It makes a nice change

Whilst I think the corners are a whole lot better, we don't always beat the first man, I would expect a better contribution from our centre backs from corners. Something we seem to have missed with Clint being out of the side.

Also we look like we can defend corners too. I remember when he who shall not be named was in charge. Ever set piece against us looked like a goal

While we now pose a threat when getting on the end of corners we still have a serious problem with actually taking them. For those relying on the ludicrously brief MOTD highlights of Saturday's game it's worth noting that CA's third goal was from what was effectively a twice taken corner; Barton's first attempt barely reached the goal area and was so poor that it presumably confused the first WBA defender into nodding it back out under no pressure for him to take again. The second attempt was a beauty of course but only serves to demonstrate how much we could benefit from someone who can do this consistently. The same is true of other set pieces of course. Barton and Fer simply aren't good enough. This is reason alone to start Krancjar IMO but there are many others...

We,re not the only team with this prob. I watched 3 other live games at the wk end and some of the corners were very poor as well.
