Graziano Pellè: 11 goals and 3 assists in his first 20 games for Saints - £6.2m

Dušan Tadić: 2 goals and 8 assists in his first 18 games for Saints - £10.9m

(fees sourced from various reports - and Wiki!)

So as we approach the end of 2014, with Koeman having backed his duo of Dutch imports to the tune of just under £20m, what do people make of them so far?

And to put you on the spot, which was the best piece of business?

Both been excellent buys. Tadic's form has petered somewhat lately, but he was fantastic in our first ten games. Pelle has grown into a real good PL striker.

What a great watch DTLW. Should have posted that a week ago when we were all in the doldrums! Now send it to the boys themselves and remind them of what they were doing a couple of months ago.

They've been outstanding in their roles but they've been part of an outstanding team. Not to de-rail but the video doesnt show the contributions of Bertrand, Clyne, Steve Davis let alone the back four. Nobody makes a video showing all the goals we didnt concede and that has been massive for us this year. How many clean sheets have we had? The team has been outstanding, hope we can regain that form.

9 clean sheets in 21 games in all competitions.

8 clean sheets in 17 games in the Premier League.

Yep- the team have been great and not been hammered by anyone except perhaps MC?
Been through a difficult spell which with a little luck could have yielded us 4 more points but hey we are doing better than anyone expected and seem to have unearthed to hidden gems in Reed and Hesketh and maybe there are a couple more to come through and we have some long term injured which should be back in the next few weeks. Things are on the up. IF we are in the to 4 by the second week in January I think we will stay there. My glass is aways half full!!!

Both have been absolutely fantastic buys. Graziano has been carrying an injury for the past few weeks, it appears, and is only just coming back to full fitness. Dusan is knackered because he's simply not used to so much football. Both will grow.

One thing I am certain of though. Both look real class in that dark blue and yellow away kit. Then again, any Saints player looks class in it. I'll say it now, it's better than the Brazil kit. There..!

Both have been excellent for the club and I certainly have no complaints! But if I have to choose between them, I would say Tadic because of his age. Saints have him locked up for all of his prime years. Pelle is probably already at his peak.

Still, when you consider that Pelle cost half of Shane Long, and I'm not unhappy with Long.. that just highlights how much of a steal both players are.

Pelle's on course to become a 25+ goal-a-season striker in his first season, playing for Saints, coming from Eredivisie. He get's a very solid 9/10 from me.

Tadic has done great, but half of his assists and goals came in one game. If only he could play Sunderland every week. Nevertheless 8/10.

    Bertrand 8.5
    Toby 8.5
    Forster 7
    Long 6.5
    Mane 5

Overall very happy with our transfers this season = 8.5/10

    Pelle 8.5
    Toby 8.5
    Bertrand 8.0
    Forster 7.5
    Tadic 7.5
    Long 7.5
    Mane 5.5

Tadic marked down because not quite as good recently. Koeman mentions tiredness (which makes all British people roll their eyes) but added that he had been carrying minor injuries which he had been unable to rest. If the latter, I hope he will come back like the old Tadic who is definitely worth an 8.5-9.0.
