I know we have loads of Vito fans on here but how lucky are we to have 2 quality keepers!
Pantillimon gets the nod over Vito for me. Hes a beast of a man that has great presence.

On a side note we also have one of England's best young keepers in Pickford currently on loan at Bradford as their number 1.... Happy days!

Cracking stuff for the season but I reckon we'll have to look for a replacement for Vito in the summer.

I rate them both very highly but it's hard to keep two cracking keepers at a club for any amount of time as it's a position you just can't rotate in.

Vito was immense but unquestionably he needed a break, Cos has been flawless, he is good at every aspect.

I fear we will lose Vito, I just hope that he gets a great move, if I could only keep one I'd have to go for Cos.

We are fortunate in that aspect, absolutely.

Would love to see him at Milan. Lopez and Abbiati must both be about 38.

Fancy he'd get capped at some point at a club like that.

Pants was quality today, the guy looks unbeatable from distance and he is great at taking crosses, we are lucky having 2 great keepers.

For a goalkeeper Pantilimon has one major advantage.....height, a giant of man and those extra inches were needed on a couple of occasions today

Why should we lose Vito? Why should we sell him? I don't get it.

You have to remember he initially stalled on a new contract as first choice, and that AC Milan, his dream club, showed some interest.

If you think he'll indefinitely stay here sat on the bench, at a club of our stature, it's just not the real world mate, unfortunately.

No, fair enough, I hadn't heard about interest from elsewhere.

At the same time, we should aspire to hold on to quality. What's the point in forward-planning if we can't do so?

So if we can hold on to the lad we should. He's a top quality goalkeeper and we are lucky to have him.

His height makes defending corners so much easier. The oppo must either play it short or loft it over to the far post and most of the time they over hit the corner.

Anything in the middle of the box and its in the grip of Costel.

He totally dominates his box! Could teach the Mign' a lesson or two.

When was the last time we were unhappy with our keeper?

    Kelvin Davies was poor.

We've been very well served in that department since though. Gordon, Mig, Vito and now Pants. Was never a big fan of Westwood and one of the few on here who wanted Vito in for him, but I still wouldn't say he was anything less than popular

Pickfords sh!t hot and he'll be a year older with a full season of first team appearances under his belt.
Vito may have to go I'm afraid.

Probably back to Perez. Don't remember being that worried about that position since then really. We've had some bloody good goalkeepers.

I was never convinced about Craig Gordon, we paid a very heavy price for his services and I remember some very average performances.

I remember one spell from Gordon that was stunning. He was very good when fit the vast majority of the time.

Kelvin was after Lionel Perez mate. Perez had a great spell but was too small and was a worry

I loved Perez but was only young when he was playing so don't really remember anything other than thinking he was cool as.

Sorenson, Myhre, Poom. We've had some very good keepers over the years.
