Doesn't say how much they offered though, I wouldn't sell him for less than 4 or 5 million. If Darren Bent is 24 million, and strikers are as rare as they are right now, I don't think that's unreasonable.

We eventually get the opportunity to sell him and we turn the offer down. Oh well i couldn't imagine Newcastle United without Shola anyways. In Shola we trust.

It would be like Nottingham without guns. Technically better, but missing a vital component to differentiate it from standard Midland towns like Derby or Leceister. Grim.

How could Birmingham expect us to accept their offer when we've turned down Barca's Messi trade deal countless times?

Birmingham put a bid 1.5 mil for shola, would rather see him go with any price because he is really slow on his feet, would anyone agree?

First I've heard of it, would be gutted if we sold him though, even if he is crap.

I'd sell him for £3m. He's getting on a bit and we have too many strikers on the books. Plus it would give young Ranger more opportunities.

    ^ This.. spot on AG.

Surely even less.. something like 2.5 would be a reasonable fee.. knowing he only has 18 months left on his contract and is getting on a bit... although it won't be the same without him, IF we want to go to the next level, Shola unfortunately will have to go.

Ranger & Airey are waiting in the wings!

We could easily sign him back on emergency loan for the derbies.

He needs to act like a professional footballer and show the right attitude in training. Could also do with getting some composure when in the first team, but hopefully that will come soon.

We'll be praising Perch to the high heavens before the end of the season...

    Too far fetched?

to be fair shola is probably our most loyal player. even if he was a top class striker i still think he would be loyal.
