    Ramirez lacks that bite though.
I just don't know with the players we have available at the minute.
It seems to have gone tits up since the Ramirez sending off when we where cruising

I guess I was harsh on Quinn in his wide position, i'm a huge fan of Quinns - and would like to see him on the pitch. He is sometimes given a bit too strict of a role on the left though, and I like to see him coming inside, playing through balls etc... whilst also being able to get great crosses in.

With that team it means playing a back four and do you not think the system means we are really narrow? Today Robbo and Elmo needed support someone to overlap them as they where constantly outnumbered and i just think with the side you have it would be so narrow that we would struggle to break anyone down through the middle. I agree we become over reliant on the wings but i think that system maybe goes to far the other way?

I'd rather see Ince on the field then Ramirez, I mean what was he doing with 5 minutes to go running to the touchline to the physio to say his groin or hammy hurt, it could be that bad he was running about get on with the game and score a goal, send him back too in my opinion, Quinny is as good a player has a higher tempo and can tackle, he was unbelievable behind the frontmen in the Final.

I guess that is the downside - but Robertson and Elmo can still get up in a back 4 (they have before) - they would need good cover though and to look out for each other.

I guess that you could drop a midfielder and stick an extra CB in there, 5-2-2-1, or similar. But I often find myself wondering quite how useful the extra CB is. I'm worried about our goalscoring at the moment, so i'd be willing to roll the dice a little bit. Then again, given that we don't have too many midfielders, it might be worth trying?

    ---Chester - Maguire - Davies ---
    Elmo------------------------Robbo
    -------Meyler - Ramirez ---------
    -----Aluko ------ Quinn----------
    -----------Abel-----------------

Or is that just ridiculous and desperate?

So you would leave out Jelavic who does more work for the team in 10 minutes than Abel does in 90.

Whatever, I don't care too much between Abel and Jela. I should just put "ST".

Hardly see much of either of them due to no link between midfield and the striker(s). It was a 50/50 choice.

That touch was the last straw for me, there was no player in front of him all he had to do was run with the ball in a straight line and swing the ball in and his touch went 20 yards away from him.

I'd be sending him out and bringing Ince back.

If I was Bruce I'd resign.

And give Tim sherwood a go.

**** Pulis. We may start getting results but we'd still be just as dour to watch as we are under Bruce.

If I was bruce i'd stick with 442 against the tougher teams I would play

    McGregor
    rosie dawson chester Robertson
    elmo diame Livermore brady
    jelavic Hernandez

    weaker teams
    McGregor
    elmo dawson chester Robertson
    ben arfa Livermore diame brady
    jelavic Hernandez

that's obviously if they were all available. At this point I have no faith in bruce getting it right

To make a winning team out of the players we have got would be a miracle of biblical proportions - and the last time that happened three wise men came from the east. No, sorry, it's no use looking. I looked and there is nobody coming and there is no star hanging above the KC Stadium either.

The CB would definately free up the two wing backs but ye quite often in this league you have three centre backs marking just one striker especially today i felt we could have done with two centre backs. You could just use Meyler a bit deeper to protect the two full backs if they are going forward?

If I was Bruce id be telling the Hull rank and file that Hull will be out of a relegation position when the window opens .And that once his ""October team "" is reunited and fit from absences , plus a new player or two , that Hull will climb at least a few spots away from the bottom 3 .

Yesterday was no surprise; I predicted a 2-1 win because that is what we should achieve with our squad (which is now even more depleted with the loss of Livermore) – I also find it very difficult to predict a loss for us, which is why I very rarely bet on us. It was a reasonable first half and a dire second half, I think that some of the substitutions that Bruce makes indicate a pre-judged loss to the players; he seems to give up long before most of them.

I agree with Bruce that there is a lack of confidence amongst the players, what I wonder does he put that down to? We need to keep it simple and we need to find some continuity in style and personnel, especially up front. The problem is that he now finds that a difficult problem to resolve as he has a whole raft of senior players unavailable to him. The bookings and suspensions are what they are; we have to put up with that. Injuries are a concern, especially when we hear that players are carrying them, especially when we have seen pointless early subs used meaning injuries are carried to avoid falling to ten men.

Whatever you or I believe, it appears we are now scraping the bottom of the barrel, but are we? Dawson is a miss, but an in-form Davies and Chester is fine in a back four. Huddlestone has been poor when played deep, Livermore strives to regain form and occasionally achieves it – Quinn does not get that chance, so give it him to him! Robertson is a defender and must be allowed to bed in at LB. Meylor is hit and miss, he missed yesterday, so is due a hit. Hernandez and Jelavic must have a run of games as a front pairing; they must be allowed to build the partnership they started at the start of the season. When players come back from suspension/injury they must be made to fight for selection as I really don’t think ,other than McGregor, Diame, Jelavic and Elmo, we have one player who is anywhere near an automatic selection (it would be great if those four had stronger challenges for their places, but I don't believe there are any).

So what would I do? This:

    McGregor

    Rosenior Chester Davies Robertson

    Elmohamady Quinn Meylor Ince/Brady

    Hernandez Jelavic

    Brady/Ince
    Maguire
    Jakupovic
    Sagbo
    Aluko
    Fig . . oh no.
    Ramirez

Well I certainly hope that is what will happen. Somehow we need to reclaim the form we had in the first eight games when we also averaged 2 goals scored. Diame is the the one who helped that happen but we probably won't see him back until early Feb. We are lacking some creativity in the final third, but Tom hasn't really been providing that and Ramirez certainly didn't yesterday. Brady on the left with Robertson would surely have been better.
As for signings, everyone's looking for a cheaper Fabregas type player but if such a player looked at our league position why would they come to us? If I was Bruce I'd bring in Deano as an attacking coach!
