Another brilliant performance from the lads beating a good Middlesborough team and keeping a clean sheet to boot. I'm seriously starting to believe that this will be our year! Really pleased for Jay Tabb today a very underrated player but he has proven invaluable to us this season. Bring on Brentford.... Merry Christmas Townies!
Tabb / Anderson + Parr were absolutely outstanding today. Our workrate off the ball is unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!! E I E I E I O !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Merry Christmas mate I enjoyed that game immensely. Everybody contributed. Berra, Smith, Chambo, **** everybody played their part in that result. As you say JWM, really starting to believe we can do it this season.
We looked good, didn't we? Afraid of no team now, confidence exuding throughout the club... EI EI EIO... Have a good Christmas lads.
It's all going according to plan. When Mick came in he said that first he had to get us competing and the football would follow. Last season saw us start to be consistent and in every game we played we were competitive. This season we have started to play better football and that was evident today. We don't even miss Williams now because Bishop is playing exceptionally well at the moment.
Forgot to add, if we're serious about staying in the premier league should we get there then we need to keep this team together. I know I said that I would accept selling Mings in January but I may just be changing my mind now. Parr was solid today but not as dynamic as Tyrone and I think Ty would suit the prem. Long live Mick and Terry!
Happy christmas to you too mate. I haven't been scared of any team for weeks now, I even think we'll do Southampton in the cup.
Another great game from Skuse, really protects our back four, glad to see that some are coming around to the fact that we need to keep everyone together, we should not sell Ty in Jan.! Looking forward to Brentford on Boxing Day....COYBs. PS good old Budgies doing us a favour today.!
To borrow a phrase from the great Barry Davis.... Just where are the Budgies.... And quite frankly, who cares? .
Picked this up from TWTD, apparently we are one of only 8 teams not to have been out of the top two divisions in nearly 60 years. Sure we may be the longest standing championship club but it's as Mick says, there are loads of teams who wish they could have been in this league for so long. He also said that he's happy about being in the top 25 managers of the country, having had his clubs either in the relegation zone of the prem or the top six of the championship for the majority of his career.
That's is an amazing stat SD! The last time we played 3rd tier football Harold Macmillan was Prime Minister!
Gotta love them Budgies! But did anyone of our players have a bad game today? I couldn't pick one out...
Berra MoM ,great entertainment first half and did what was necessary in Second to see out the game.Great to see us afraid of no one.
Ambrose gave the ball away needlessly a couple of times but he was probably trying to impress Mick. As you say, everyone played a blinder.
All the plaudits will be going to Bournemouth tonight on the FL show but who cares! We fear no one and there will be plenty now who will be fearing us!
And well before my time. It is an amazing achievement when you look at the teams, bigger than us with stronger support etc, that have fallen through the trapdoor.
The commentator on the stream I watched was also waxing lyrical about 'boro more than us. Constantly going on about them ending their unbeaten run instead of emphasising how we will be extending ours. Whatever!!!
Arsenal, Everton, Man Utd, Chelsea, Spurs, West Brom, Liverpool, Ipswich.... That's my guess anybody know?
