He is indeed a bastard who deserves our contempt. I think you're getting confused if you interpret a supporters trust as being something that must be pro-owners. If it was pro-Allam, I'd be nowhere near it. Swansea by the way. They're run by a supporters' trust. In terms of having a say, Everton recently reversed their decision to change to a daft badge on the advice of the fans.
Fair do's, But don't knock those who wish to give their free time and efforts to the supporters trust. It can only be a good thing bringing fans of the club together for the benefit of the club and fans wether Mr allam likes it or not.
Nope. They own 21%. In fact they are ****ting it at the moment as they might be getting some Yanks in. If they do they'll be in trouble.
Are you saying that you would not associate with ANY group that is supportive of Assem Allam? Did CTWD repeatedly state that they support Assem Allam but not the name change? What about the OSC? Swansea's supporters trust does not run the football club, it has a 20% shareholding and one seat on the board. It also has real problems with the major share holder seeking investment. The supporters trust is urging members not to sell their shares and the major shareholder is saying that the club is in financial difficulties and needs a share issue. I believe that you are mistaken in your thinking!
The Everton decision was down to the fact that the vast majority of their fans stuck together unlike ours where just a small minority of us stuck our heads up to be shot at, the rest of fence sitting wets gave all the ammo Allam needed to press ahead with the current **** like the IndiaTigers, all the websites and other stuff with Tigers rather than Hull City. Allam doesn't give a **** about any of the fans, in fact we are so few in number and the Prem money is so huge he doesn't even need the money we generate it's probably less than £10m which is only about 10% of our turnover. I admire the trusts hopes but it's a false hope, because like I say he's a bastard so don't suck up to him, don't ask the **** for **** all, because I never would. The battle might be over but the war goes on, don't pretend peace has broken out because he will stab you in the back, I can see it's coming, the next outburst is imminent. Never make friends with an enemy who has done to us what Allam has, he's gone too far for me, so **** him
I agree with you about him, but I'm pretty certain this trust has no aim to get in bed with Allam. The long-term aim involves more democratic future owners.
From Wiki on Barcelona In the presidential election of 2010, the rise in club-members during the last seven years caused the campaign to focus on whether to allow votes from non-Catalan members, through internet or post. The balloting committee decided to only allow votes from members who registered at the home stadium on the day of the election.[17] As of November 2010, membership of the club is no longer open to the public. Only close relatives to current and former FC Barcelona members can join the club as well as previous members with at least a two-year history of membership. This ruling however will not apply to children under the age of 15.[18]
So according to you, the long term aim of HCST is to get rid of our current owners and to get new ones? That might be news to them. Even I don't believe that. Ish.
I've been going to City since 1971 and Harold Needler was still in charge he was the last decent proper Hull City loving owner we had, even his son was a ****, Sir Adam was great but sold us out to a crook, so the chances of us getting a decent owner are truly remote. Hull City fans get in in to your heads, owners are in it for the money and apart from the Sheik and Roman who bought success, they don't give a flying **** about you unless you are putting money in their pockets.
There's plenty of crap owners out there, but you have to hope that the next one will be another Needler or AP. Otherwise, what's the point? If it was going to carry on like this forever, club against fan and even fan against fan, why carry on supporting City?
the bartlett thing was exacerbated by the credit crunch. pearson couldn't have foreseen that and bartlett's tenure may well have been different without it. i cannot count that as a black mark against pearson.
What about telling the Tigers Coop to **** off when he took over as he wouldnt countenance any interference in running the club??
