    This has genuinely surprised me. I just always assumed the kids picked were a special case, and it was free, and that they were given a free kit.

    Someone should mention this to James, huge amount of goodwill for little effort and cost.

    So you get 3 match tickets a £50 club shop voucher meet the players your and child has an amazing day sounds cheap to me.

    Yeah it's not bad. I knew there was a charge, I actually thought it was more than that.

    I can see the other argument though, it's not exactly a money spinner, is it...?

    I was never fortunate enough to experience the joy of a Mascot but I was a Ball boy some years ago versus Newport County in a 0-0 draw in 1983 I think the year was. I also believe a certain young John Aldridge was sent off that day. I was placed if front of the South Stand (Kwik Save era) at BP when the home supporters stood. Prior & after the game into the club gym for a kick about.
