Bournemouth, Brentford and Charlton sounded like a simple run of fixtures at the start of the season. It is proving to be anything but. The Cherries smashed 5 past us to extinguish any good feeling from that flukey win at Vicaridge Road to move 1st whilst Brentford are chugging along nicely in the playoffs. Bournemouth have already put 8 goals past us and we still have to play them again and I think that's first time a Championship team has put 5 past us since Newcastle away. I don't have great hopes of us turning it around against the Bees. There were some points to be had in the league last Sunday thanks to Jones's goal and a Bournemouth win. Good Luck!
sheep can i do another block prediction please: Cardiff 2-0 Brentford > jones Charlton 1-1 Cardiff > whitts Cardiff 3-1 Watford > jones Cardiff 2-2 Fulham > whitts cheers
Harris has got to play from the start - if he doesn't get a shot at it at home after that second half performance at Bournemouth, Slade will lose all credibility. If he gets the chance I wouldn't mind betting he'll get a goal against his old loan club. Rosler thought the lad was ace when he was the Brentford manager at the time. I'll go for City 2 - 0 Brentford with Harris slotting one of them. Thanks Sheepy.
With all the negativity around, it will be a real test of Slade's powers of motivation, organisation and tactics to get something from this one. It is almost like he will have to create a siege mentality amongst the players and even then that would see a backs to the wall effort like at Watford. In itself not really a forward step even if we got a win. For me we are on a downward spiral and it is hard to see how that this can be broken until we get in fresh blood in January. I've seen similar so many times over the years at both Cardiff and Newport. I agree with Sparks that Harris did more than enough to justify a starting place. Even if Pilks recovery is faster than expected then Harris could even get the nod over Noonie who has hit nothing like the best form he showed last year. Taking all that into account, 6 - 0 to us with 65% possession in our favour. No, not really, 2 - 1 to Brentford, ALF to score. Thanks Sheep.
Can I predict for all xmas games here please Mr S as I cannot seem to get the website to work remotely? City 1 Brentford 1 - Jones Charlton 0 City 0 - (Macheda in case we do score) City 0 Watford 1 -(Pilkington ditto)
Bluesheep. I remember Charlton 5 Cardiff 4 in our promotion season pal! Bluefrombridgend. I think your 6-0 should stand matey, got me all excited I did! City to win 2-1 for me, please give me some points, this division would be a poorer place without me! Whittingham to score!
