Lawro has predicted us to win 2-1. Guess why, because he can't see our losing run carrying on and it must end somewhere.
I've just got in and updated our lineup. Bad news that Tadic is out. I'm really hoping Mane can put in a good performance for this one.
At least he can't adversely affect Tadic, as many feel he does. A clean slate to judge his performance.
I don't know enough about ligament recovery, but was it inevitable that he couldn't meet the accelerated schedule when they needed to perform a clean up in the second operation he had?
Well we've had the full gamut of recovery prognoses. I recall someone said they have a gut feeling he won't play again.
Jeff Stelling, Phill Thompson, Ed Chamberlin and Paul Merson all predict a 1-1 draw.....to be honest I would take that right now.
As poor and frustrating as he has been, I do hope that the great saints fans get behind him for a sustained period on this game... No? Didn't think so. *waits for Mane to get groaned and booed after first mistake*
On Jayrod - remember how long it has taken for the Newcastle lad to recover; then he broke down again recently. http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/30543087
I would too...we need to stop the rot before it enters the DNA. We are better than most teams in the PL if our best players are available and on form...important that confidence returns because the best teams don't always win.
Cometh the hour, cometh the man. Could be a great opportunity for a couple of players and there could be an advantage to playing a couple of youngsters who are familiar with each others game...having played together for years. I always enjoy the way our youngsters just step onto the pitch...they are rarely fazed by the moment.

Doesn't look a bad team when you put it like that...glad our backline is untouched, but we will sorely miss Wanyama (the magnificent) and Schneiderlin (arguably our best player). Really glad we've got JWP back...we scarcely missed him before, but could be our saviour now. He was just getting his eye in before...a goal from a free kick on Saturday
