The Odds: Alan Irvine (West Brom) @ 6-5; Nigel Pearson (Leicester City) @ 11-4; and Brucey @ 12-1 http://www.theguardian.com/football...n-goodwill-managers-premier-league-boardrooms
How often is it that we get to Christmas without one already gone? Of course, that could change this weekend...
I don't think anyone's got the bullet yet due to no-one being adrift at the bottom; I reckon four or five chairmen are holding their breath to see who blinks first and scrambles for the services of the perceived saviour of the ''almost doomed'' club, Tony ''three seconds then hoof it'' Pulis.
I reckon Irvine. Unlike Pearson, he hasn't got previous success to fall back on. He was a weird appointment in the first place.
He shouldn't be sacked, but nothing Allam does surprises me any more. If it was Bruce it'd come completely out of the blue. Probably the night before a game too.
i think it'll be pearson at the start of jan, especially with another 3 -4 games till then.. they could be 6 or more adrift
I think if the part of the ground where 19:04 gets sung started singing Bruce's praises, he'd be gone by morning. "Nobody tells me how to run my business"
I can almost guarantee that it won't be Pearson. The entire club is built around him. The owners know that they'd be absolutely daft to sack him. We're in a rut at the moment, we can't buy a win. But we're still playing decent football and the players are still behind the manager. Our defence is letting us down big time with lapses in concentration just one after the other. We're not desperate, the fans can see that our luck will change soon.
Whats your definition of soon? Your next 4 games are West Ham away Spurs at home HCAFC away Liverpool away Personally I think you will probably lose all 4 games. Your first chance (besides us) to really win start on January 10th and you have a couple possible wins possible in the month of January. Realistically you could expect to get 4 points from those games (you wont beat Villa and Stoke) based off your form this season. Villa home Stoke home Man U away That would give you 14 points from 23 games and 20th place. February is no better for you. You might just get lucky and get 4 points from those games. That would put you at 18 points after 27 games and most likely 20th place. Palace home Arsenal away Everton away Chelsea home Are you looking forward to March, good god I hope not you might get lucky and get 3 points that month (I think you will get 0). That puts you at 21 points from 30 games and most likely 20th place. Man City away HCAFC home Spurs away Shall I go on? My guess is you will have 18 points from 30 games and be 20th place.
