How would you line up? How many defensive players do you expect Bruce to cram on the pitch?

    I'd like to see

    McGregor
    Rosey Chester Davies Robbo
    Elmo Livermore Meyler Brady
    Jelavic Hernandez

    I expect

    McGregor
    Elmo Chester Bruce Davies Rosey
    Meyler Livermore Quinn Brady

    Jelavic

I'd also go with your team, perhaps with Quinn in for Meyler.

I wouldn't be completely surprised if he went with the 4-4-2 bearing in mind that we really need to start picking up 3 points at home rather than 1 or even 0 but I wouldn't be surprised if he went 3-5-2/5-3-2. I'd expect those to be the most likely starters either way but I would quite like to see us try the 4-2-3-1 again that was looking good against Spurs until Ramirez's moment of petulance, albeit with one or two enforced changes.

I'd definitely go with the first team, but I think Aluko might get the nod over Hernandez.

I'm not going to this one.

I haven't sorted a ticket for Sunderland, West Brom, West Ham, or Arsenal either, I'll probably start again after February when the name change bollocks is finally over.

I'd play the 4-2-3-1 we played against Tottenham:

    McGregor
    Rosenior Chester Davies Robertson
    Livermore Meyler
    Elmo Ramirez Brady
    Jelavic

    Maybe Quinn instead of Meyler.

If we do play 2 up front it'd better be Hernandez and not Aluko as a pretend striker again. If Aluko starts it should be right wing with Elmo RB.

Have Ramirez and Hernandez actually played a game together from the start yet? Surely they will have a good understanding?

    Elmo Chester Davies Robertson
    -------Liv - Meyler ----------
    - Aluko - Quinn -- Brady -
    ---------Abel---------

Or a similar variation, you can fiddle with the wide positions (even have Abel instead of Brady), i'd be open to Gaston in there too. Choose between Abel and Jela.

The best team that I can imagine Bruce picking:

    Elmo Chester Davies Robertson
    ----Meyler - Liv - Gaston ---
    -Aluko----Jelavic-----Quinn-

    (Would be effectively 451)

Has a lot of the right players, but Meyler and Quinn will be wasted off-centre. Playing the old 'give it to the wings at the halfway line and see what happens, never go down the middle' tactics.

I can't understand for the life of me why you'd put Hernandez ahead of Jelavic.

    McGregor
    Rosie Chester Davies Robertson
    Elmo Livermore Ramirez Brady
    Hernandez Jelavic

I think it has to be something along the lines of that.

If Ramirez doesn't play in the middle of the park I hope he's in behind Jelavic as I don't expect Hernandez to start, I reckon we'll see Aluko up there.

Some of the selections look good. Can we play Swansea on paper?

After all my bitching about the prices for the Leicester game, and because I'm travelling up to Hull tomorrow, I thought I'd attend this one. I don't care about the performance. I just want to see 100% commitment and 3 points (I've never seen us win in the prem so it would be nice to see).

Also my first time in the east stand so I hope that something of an atmosphere still exists there, and it hasn't all gone off into the north.
