They do a lot of exercises up that way, mostly the lakes and over Jockland.

Not many louder noises than a low flying Typhoon/Tornado at full thrust!

Unbelievable mate, the pilots of these things must be lunatics.

The sound is ridiculous, especially when they break the sound barrier, it sounds like the world is about to end.

Tell me about it, one nearly flew through our bedroom window one night, talk about the earth moving.

Can you imagine being an ISIS recruit sat in a little trench hoping for some troops to walk into your trap and one of those rips past you, their undies would be filled of bum porridge in a split second.

Anyone else fascinated by plane crashes?

I watched a programme a short while ago about the Air France crash, flight 447. It was unbelievable, pilot error in the end, one pilot attempting to bring the nose up, the other pushing the nose forward, both cancelling each other out. The procedure was supposed to be to nosedive to stop the stall, but one pilot was panicking, ignoring procedure and going with his natural instinct.

Well worth a watch if you can find it online.
