Okay let's see your preferred starting 11 and formation guys. I want us to fly at them from the start. I want quick creativity behind Fletch, maybe Giac in the hole or a 4-2-3-1. -------------------Pantilimon--------------------- Vergini---------O'Shea-------Brown------Réveillère Larsson--------Catts--------Alvarez-------Johnson ----------------Giaccherini ----------------------- ------------------------Fletcher------------------ -------------------Pantilimon--------------------- Vergini-------O'Shea--------Brown------Réveillère ------------Larsson-----------Catts-------------- Alvares------------Giaccherini-------------Johnson --------------------Fletcher---------------------- However, I think Gus will start Wickham or Jozy again, somehow. ....Over to you guys !
They play colback and Tiote so id play Gomez Larsson and Cattermole in the centre. He may well have a stormer but we have to pressure their keeper and pepper him with crosses from the right in particular with Wickham coming in at the back post ala Stoke. The only dilemma for me is Altidore or Fletcher. Id actually be inclined to go with Jozy, he'll bring johnson and Gomez into the game more and take some heat off of Wickham. He had a stormer there last year. Fletcher on from the bench with Alvarez. Bridcutt or Buckley depending on score. ---------------------Pantilimon-------------------- Vergini--------Oshea-----------Brown----Réveillère ----------------------Cattermole------------------- Johnson------Larsson---------Gomez-----Wickham ----------------------Altidore-----------------------
I think the line up will be unchanged from last week However my personal selection would be ------------------------Pantilimon--------------------- Vergini-----------JOS-----------Brown------Réveillère ----------Larsson------Catts------Rodwell------------- Alvarez---------------Fletcher-----------------Johnson Fletcher/Johnson can both outplay Dummet based on the last couple of derbies Johnson normally turns it right up for these too Catts/Rodwell/Larsson could combat their midfield whilst Alvarez creates for Fletch too
I doubt that Giacc will start. maybe a place on the bench, but he isnt going to be match fit. Swap Fletcher in for Altidore up front, otherwise same team that started against west ham imo
Pantilimon Vergini O'Shea Brown Reviliere Johnson Larsson Catts Alvarez Fletcher Wickham Going old school 4-4-2 because that is likely to happen!!!!!
I don't know who I would pick to be honest, the teams are closely matched, but Newcastle are flying compared to us, and I fear they might just edge it on the strength of their attacking options. Perhaps a surprise change of tactics might swing it our way, but Gus is far to conservative, maybe rightly so. I would be more than happy with a point, ecstatic with all three.
Alnwick/Colo/Haidara/Dummet/Williamson/Colback/Cabella/Gouffran/Perez/Sissoko/Riviere Basically there current first 11! Pardew readying the 'fatigued' excuses?
Theyve fielded quite a strong team tonight. The likes of collocini colback sissoko cabella Perez Riviere. Alnwick in goal. Only really Taylor and Tiote I note as missing. Spurs currently winning 2-0
Shocked at the side he's picked. Very attacking too. Asking a lot of Colback, not surprised to see they are losing.
There bench is kids like Curious as to where Taylor/Tiote is? however if they are beat again then the fans will be back on his back! Funniest thing is Alnwick ****ed up for the first one and Cabella has just missed from a yard out
1 Gary Rowell 2 Gary Rowell 3 Gary Rowell 4 Gary Rowell 5 Gary Rowell 6 Gary Rowell 7 Gary Rowell 8 Gary Rowell 9 Gary Rowell 10 Gary Rowell 11 Gary Rowell
Pantilimon Vergini O'Shea Brown Reviliere Catts Seb AJ Jozy. Fletch. Connor Just batter them up top. Keeper bit fragile at crosses. Alvraez and Giacc can add guile if needed and much better keeping hold of the ball later on.
Pant Vergini-Brown-O'Shea-Rev Catts Seb-Rodwell Johnson-----Alvarez Wickham Maybe Altidore in for Wickham, either way I'd go with physicality up front We'll probably line up Pant Vergini-Brown-O'Shea-Rev Catts Seb-Gomez Alvarez----Wickham Fletcher
Nordic's got it right: Fletch, Connor & Jozy up front....."batter them", and seeing their goalie is weak, so exploit that.... /... pressure on their defence. Jozy plays deeper, behind the front 2. Will it work? Think so. Worth a try from kick-off, me'thinks.
Only had a spare minute here and there today fella so not had chance, finally got sometime to myself so it will be up within the hour fella.
