Nah, Courtois is the best and he is only second to Neur in the world. De Gea looks more spectacular because the United defence's is s**te and therefore he has to make more saves.

De Gea and Lloris stand out because they are being tested more. Coutois may be the best keeper in the world, but playing for a dominant team we wouldn't know. Until Chelsea have a dip in form we wont see how good he is.

So that makes him the better goal keeper, because he makes saves. <laugh>

    For me it's:

    1) Brian Murphy
    2) Courtois (just)
    3) De Gea
    4) Lloris

Irrelevant anyway as Neuer is far better than all of them.

Im guessing those saying Courtious are basing it on what theyve been told

They probably said Seaman was better than Schmeichel too.

The only thing Courtois has on de gea is he makes more catches. This is because chelsea dont worry about crosses as they have a very tall defence so its very unlikely they will concede from a cross.

If you look at % though. De gea takes 90% of his crosses. He also makes saves the other keepers only dream about.

In a game where crossing is happening less and reactiom saves (due to tge design of tge ball) are what sets keepers apart, De Gea is unrivalled.

Only Neuer is above de gea. Though whether neuer would do better in our team is debatable.

He really isnt. Hes better by merit because of what hes won but the margins are fine. The only elite level opponents he faces are in the latter stages of the champions league. Once in a while in an international match.

The english keepers fave a far higher caliber of player week in week out. neuer also has the best defence in football ahead of him, for club amd country.

    He has a massive advantage.

He wouldnt dare tbh. He would actually be tested week im week out. The german league is third rate.

Look beyond bayern and english sides have a tendency to bdestroy german clubs. Dortmund offer some resistance but can still be on the end of a spanking.

How would neuer do with valencia, mcnair, blackett and young in frony of him?

The bayern and germany defences are amongst the best in the world. Not even debatable.

You didn't say that. You said " has the best defence in football ahead of him, for club amd [sic] country."

Do you even know who plays in defence for Bayern and/or Germany? I doubt it

  19. There you go assuming **** strikers can't put the ball in the corner occasionally again. Try using your eyes rather than numbers. Isn't that the stick you attempt to beat Astro with...? <doh>

IMO, Schmeichel is the best of all time (obviously only seen odd clips of the olden day keepers though)

Current PL keepers: Courtious, De Gea and Lloris.

Out of the three, I prefer Lloris though. I don't think there is much in it between the three of them and Lloris is the best with the ball at his feet IMO.

The true test of a keeper eh? How good is he with tge ball at his feet.

Barthez must be ridiculously high on your all time list <whistle>
