Tom you get far too angry over a game. We played poor yes, but that happens when you are on a losing run. Morale will go down and players will find it harder to preform to their level. Am I annoyed at the lose? Yep , will I lose my **** like some of you have and do in in a lot of match threads? nope.

In the song by Frankie Beverley and Maze football is "Joy and Pain is like Sunshine and Rain." We've had our golden moments now we are in the depths of despair. We'll come out of it at some stage. Let's not beat ourselves up over this result. It happened. Sheffield United in cup competitions are obviously a very different animal from their league status. Chins up guys!!

There's being annoyed and pissed off over a result then there's over the top anger issues.

Well after a nice trip to Burnely I was hoping for better than that. Mayuka is a waste of a substitue IMO and would prefer to see a young player like Seager given his place on the bench. Isgrove doesn't look like he is going to be good enough, although that is only based on seeing him play a few times.

Oh well, FA Cup still to come :)

And have an Everton supporting friend who is going to be happy!

Pretty sure last season we won 1 game in 9 at some point. Granted not losing 5 in a row, but we went through a rough patch.

Whilst incandescent with rage over how bad we played tonight. I have to say, what a fantastic performance by the Blades. Dogged as hell. Credit to them.

It's almost if our squad is too small so we can't change it about if players get tired or in poor form.....

Many teams like us have lost that sort of match in the past, and many teams like us will lose that sort of match in the future.

How many times. Our squad is very thin. We cannot cover for injuries, suspensions, loss of form, loss of confidence. Burnley need to pick up as many points at home as possible to attempt to avoid relegation. Sheff Utd had a SF final place up for grabs, a PL scalp up for grabs. Both sides were faced with a weakened, vulnerable opponent.

Yet again it is a very frustrating and disappointing defeat. But I'm hardly surprised. In two months time, three months time, four months time, I wouldn't be surprised if we won four matches on the spin. But right now we're on our down, and unfortunately it might be a while yet until it ends. Some extra bodies in January, even on loan, would really, really help.

My only real criticism of tonight is that Morgan should not have played in this game. (Ideally not Vic either, but we simply don't have the options to leave both out right now).

My love for Saints has decreased in the last few years, after we got to the Premier League.

Fallen out of love with the game for a while, which is why I rarely post.

I've been on the other side of the world for the last two months; and not once have I intentionally looked to seek out what the Saints score was.

There were a couple of times where I hadn't even realised we'd played!

There's more to life than football. Anyone that is angry OTT; take a step back from the keyboard, go to bed, and wake up happier tomorrow. Don't be yourself up over something you will never ever have control over.

Why on earth are people making excuses for this? I'm not sure I've ever seen two worse performances back to back than this week.
