I wasnt basing it on the amount of games they played each season. I had Jay Jay at 11 as it goes and thought about Chester and in 2 years he might easily make that list. I dont think i saw Giovanni have a good game past 3 months into his career with us.
You must be too young to remember just quite how good he was when he came in, either that or you simply refuse to accept it, he is without doubt one of the top ten Hull City signings.
How do you judge worse signing? Is it the amount paid? reputation and ability? or total ****eness? It's hard to compare Jimmy Bullard and Simon Walton because they where truly awful for different reasons?
I'm 100% basing it on impact made in terms of value for money. Some people might be tempted to include Danny Webb for example but he earned far less a year than Jimmy Bulls**t did in a week.
Stelios Giannakopoulos was one of our most pointless signings ever, but I'm not aware that he cost us an awful lot.
Mark Lynch , suppose in fairness he got assaulted by Paul Furlong early on in his City career but he was pretty poor for someone who had played in the champs league for Manure. We also had Martin Reeves , a wide player on loan from Leicester who didn't perform great. I think these two was within the ten years ago category.
He's not one of the 10 worst signings, simple as. 800k is nothing in the current market and he has to be given a chance to contribute before he's written off. IF he doesn't improve and IF he doesn't contribute any more, then maybe he should be considered, but for now its far too soon, especially when you consider the utter dross we have signed over the last decade.
One of the biggest names in football. 21 letters. IMO one of our best signings has to be Ray Parlour. I know it was only on loan, but he was one of the most impressive players I'd ever seen.
Not in the last 15 years but biggest impact by a loan player for me might be Rocky Rocastle. He was unbelievable. RIP. Edit - actually was he on loan or a free signing? I cant think who wouldve loaned him to us. Double edit - yep, he was on loan from Chelsea.
I was just about to mention Parlour you could tell he was a quality player even though he didn't have the legs, I remember Neil Clement on loan he look a class above the rest at the time too.
Ray Parlour was class for us. I know Deano got all the plaudits for the goals he scored to help us stay, but Parlour was a massive part of it too. I remember a pass through to Deano by Parlour against Brum at home. One of the best passes I've ever seen.

One good season out of about 8 is hardly impressive though is it? I think you're being blinded by the fact he's from Hull, there are far more players who've contributed more for longer.
In recent years, Martin Pusic springs to mind. I won't have a bad word said about Tijani Belaid, no matter how wonky his eyes were. Peter Gulacsi was also pretty ****. Caleb Folan in his first loan spell with us was pretty ****.
