Ellewoods, what are our chances of getting Michael Bradley in the window? He's the type of midfielder I think we need.
I think he would probably leave Toronto if a team from the PL came in for him. I cant think he is very happy there. I also agree that he is just the type of player that we need in our midfield. He cost Toronto around $10 million (6.4 million pounds) by all accounts and makes $125,000 (80,000 pounds) a week. Part of the reason he came back to the US was taxes as his salary (and sponsorships) was amplified here due to lower taxes on his tax bracket. So that would need to be taken into account. Toronto is going to lose Dafoe as well so its going to probably cost us more than it normally would as they would lose their 2 best players. I would think that a bid of around 8 or 9 million pounds would be accepted but the real sticker would be the salary. I think he would probably want at least his 80,000 pounds a week and probably a release clause as well.
Joel Campbell on loan will suffice for me. Can't see us doing much more then that. In an ideal situation I'd like to see us bring in another midfielder to compete with Huddlestone/Livermore. Probably a combative midfielder. Coquelin from Arsenal is a possibility on loan. I don't know who else might be available....Fletcher maybe? (not so keen meself)
Lots of articles again saying Everton are going to come in for Davies. On an iPad so I can't link them.
What you have is people adding who they would like, Not transfer news! But feel free to add in Winter transfers and get the thread back on topic.
I've just seen an article on an fc site (posted on Facebook) saying that they're after him. The comments section was amusing, one fc fan didn't want him because he's banned for the next 3 games apparently.
Haha so WERE would you like this thread/post? Saves me adding useless content to your never ending replies (**** fight) and you can get on hitting 9000 of useful posts. Merry Christmas BCC and await a witty retort ( walking away like the soco man
Why do you think I do want it posted elsewhere? I didnt say move it anywhere. I was merely pointing out that you said this was transfer news and it isnt.
£10m for a CB who'll be 30 before the season's out? No thanks, I doubt we'll be in for him. Doesn't fit our usual player profile for a big money signing
Sooo Sorry BCC it was Aberdeen that wanted this post in the transfer thread (has now been done) And I thought why would you bother to add to a post just to add it wasn't in its right place? So once again I apologise BCC, But all the same Have a Merry Christmas (accept Burnley)
