Agreed Norway, we should take positives from the game: OBZ scoring again Hoilett at least trying to run at defenders Dunne strong at the back No significant saves from Green, even saved it with his head at the end Good to see plenty of attempts on goal Feel free to add your own
Considering that we're a promoted team and Everton's team is worth a whole lot more than hours, I'd say we did ok tonight and showed moments of good football. We missed Charlie Austin and could have done with two strikers from the start maybe, but all in all it was a decent show and would have looked a whole lot better if those two, unfortunate deflections didn't happen.
Problem is he's been poor in every game he's played. But it would help if we had some form of tactical plan. As for negativity, I think the manager has so far got of lightly considering his overall record. There's been little or no booing at games. Criticism on message boards is better than getting at the manager during games. But he deserves to be criticised. His record is p**s poor.
I thought we looked ok at times, we moved the ball around well, pressed them when they had possession, we just lacked a bit up front, I'm not too down as we didn't roll over as we could have done when we went 3 down.....I suppose you make your own luck so we need to ping balls into the box, apply pressure and see what happens.... Thought the score flattered Everton....
How many has he played? Two? Three? Agree he was poor tonight but I don't think he has been any poorer than the rest when he played earlier in the season.
Agree Tramore, we are not far away overall, but today we were probably carrying 2 or 3 players who are just not good enough. That combined with poor tactics and strange team selection is killing us.
Barton's at fault for the first two goals, first one by misplacing a simple pass straight to Everton and then elbowing Naismith right in front of the referee. Thought he was awful tonight, as was Mutch, not sure if he's unfit still or just too lightweight/scared of the opposing player when he's on the ball. Thoughts Fer, Vargas and Isla were the only ones who looked up for it, and Vargas was kicked out of the game and Isla didn't have his best night. No idea why Fer was taken off. Once again, another away game and not many positives.
Agree Sussex, he needed to have Henry in the holding roll instead off Barton if he was going to play 2 wingers.....not quite sure what Mutch's remit was, unless him and Fer were to alternate as the support to Ed.... Still another 6 pointer to look forward to on Saturday.... Night all.....

The glass is more half full for me mate. I see progression. Harry is making us better by each game. We are at the moment maybe one of the best home sides in the league. Just as disappointed as the next one with out away form, BUT, we are getting better by each game and we are now finished with most of the hardest away fixtures. We can beat anyone at home and we WILL start picking up points on the road. We have a good squad and if we add competition up front during January we will be more than fine.
