if we come out with 6-7 points then great we can look forward to climbing the table, however if we only come out with 2-3 points how safe will SB be in Allams eyes? I dont want him sacked but would AA panic at the thought of relegation after the money invested and if theres anyone waiting to buy us as been mentioned before the end of the season would this be jepordised. Will AA give a new manager the jan window to work in and turn things around
6-7 points from our next 3 games? huddlestone banned, dawson & diame both possibly out injured and our total lack of goals recently.. id say your right with 2-3 points.. possibly even just a point with a draw against sunderland..
Knowing our generosity of late coupled with current form it would not surprise for us to give Sunderland their first home win since early October!
Would be just our luck for Leicester to get a win against us as well. Then again Swansea could be the game that puts us on a winning streak (fingers crossed)
Bruce is the best manager we've had! We're in the hardest competitive league in the world! And a couple of wins and we're back in the mix. #havefaithinbruce
I'm with you but sorry to say there are too many doom merchants on here. Two matches we have played badly this season, that's all, fickle fans,we have them in abundance,
If we remain in the bottom 3 at the end of the West Brom game on the 10th Jan, then serious questions will need to be asked. A decision then will give time for a new manager to be appointed and for him to make a couple of signings.
..whilst also reminding old Camel toe week after week that he never signed 90% of what on show & therefore won't be to blame should the team play CC next season. Horton out.
These next 3 games will define our season - anywhere between 5-9 points and it'll help push us on. 0-3 points and I think we might see the Allams giving Brucie the shove. We've had a lot of injuries to key players and haven't had chance to play a settled side yet. Look at Sunderland - very poor last year, but are largely playing a starting 11 similar to the one that was in trouble last season. They've had a settled side and are doing OK because of it.
If we get 6-7 points from the next three games we will have 19-20 at the half-way point of the season which is on schedule for staying up. Add to that the away games already played at Chelsea, Arsenal, Man U and Everton we wouldn't be in a desperate position even if we were still in the bottom three.
And if we play the way we did against Chelsea, i reckon we'll get those points. Our run in is a worry though.
Were not actually doing that bad performance wise. We switched off once yesterday and got rightfully punished for it. We more then matched Man City yesterday, we just keep getting punished for making schoolboy errors at the back. Huddlestone will be a massive loss for you because if you let Cambiasso run the midfield then thats when we at our best. Against the bigger sides we use him more to nullify the opposition which is something is has done very well for us
Huddlestone not playing could be a bonus for us. He tends to be the player that dictates the pace of our play which is one reason why we rarely play at a high tempo.
