The Daily Star Sunday says the USA striker is wanted on loan at the Bundesliga side with an option of a £4million permanent deal. Altidore, 25, has failed to justify his £6.5million price tag since arriving from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar nearly 18 months ago. The controversial Paolo Di Canio regime signed Altidore, who hit 40 goals during a two-year spell in Holland. He has so far scored only three goals for the Black Cats â and just one in the Premier League.
Id like to see Jozy go to the Bundesliga, I think hed do really well in that league at a decent side. This deal however would be fruitless for us imo. Bremen will go down imo with or without jozy so we'd never see any transfer fee. He'd be back here In the summer probably less comoditable than he is now. Anyway when he scores the winner next Sunday you'll all be noshing him off and begging him to stay ;-0

I would start him against Newcastle like. the lad played well at Newcastle last season. Fletcher looks of the pace again so if not Altidore then Wickham has to start up front.
Ridiculous that we play Whickham out of position in order to accommodate Altidore. Jozyguy has now had more than enough gametime to at least show some sign that he might come good, but IMO is Championship standard at best. How fortunate the guy is to have played in the Premiership with so little ability and absolutely no composure in front of goal.
No **** this, DG has been on more loans with options to buy than enough and we're still stuck with him. We need someone to buy the ****er, not bringing him in then sending him back like DG.
We must cut our losses on Altidore....continuing paying him is a joke....get shot of him as soon as possible!He was crap when we signed him and he's got worse!!
