I still wasn't feeling that great, so decided to drive back so I could enjoy a lie in, instead of having to book out by 10.30am
I should have stayed in bed yesterday. Get to Leeds station on time no problem 12.15 pm. Head out to get the bus,but can't find where the buses go from,has it moved ?. Go to pub and call a Taxi,told 15 mins. Quickly drink my pint and go wait outside so I don't miss Taxi,bloody freezing. 1 hour and 10 mins later,still no Taxi phoned them twice to be told will be there soon but busy. Give up waiting and walk to the ground getting there 2.45 pm missed the meet up. Game Meet up in Billys after the game with Glory,Elland,Leeds60 and a brief chat with OLOF. Elland not 100% not drinking and wants to go back to his hotel so we get bus into Leeds Gory gets lift home and I head off station. 40 Mins early for the first train home,so get 4 cans and wait freezing. Train comes in 20 mins late. Miss my connection at Manchester by 5 mins. After 40 mins freezing get on the next train which is a slow all stops 1 starting from Manchester. Get seat early and the train fills up to standing room only,but no problem I have my seat and cider. Voice comes over tanoy,train delayed,no fookin driver. 15 mins later voice comes back on,as our train is stopping the 1 behind from leaving which has a driver,can we all get off while they move our train out of the way so the other can go. Get off and our train which has a driver to move it but not to take it to Crewe,pulls off and comes back 15 mins later on another platform.Mad scramble across the platforms and all fookin seats gone by the time I get on. Finally get home after having to get a Taxi from the station as the mrs is ill and cant pick me up. Unbelievable **** day,should have stayed in bed.
I agree that we were poor; however it is clear (from this game and previous) that when Adryan is substituted we lose all our creativity. Byram was our best outlet going forward, however their young Dane was tearing us to shreds. I haven't seen any highlights, but from my view in the north stand, the challenge on Dawson late on looked like a pen, as did the shirt pulling on Antenucci.
Home, good weekend, apart from 90 minutes in the middle, got pissed as usual but shame I missed putting faces to names due to a hour delay on th M1 near junction 22 on way up.
