It's a club managed by its untouchable captain in his own interest, with a puppet figurehead. They can't blame the midfield. More importantly Lovren can't blame the midfield.
The problem is more than Lovren... He's flanked by Skrtel - a complete liability - and Glen Johnson (did you know we actually pay GJ to play for us?). Plus we've only realised that defensive midfielders help you defend in the last three games or so. The strikers can't hold the ball up (no Sturridge or even Balo) so we never get to bring the line up. He needs a leader... we thought he was one... we need MORE signings unfortunately.
I agree...we've had players not up to scratch in the lower leagues. The fans may have criticised, but we never heard any moaning or point scoring from within the team.
How you guys can still be raving over Fonte after his last two performances are beyond me. He's still a good player, just not excellent right now.
Fonte has earned Brownie points...protects him against criticism for the odd poor game. Obviously doesn't hold if it goes on too long. Wanyama had a poorish game today, but we know he won't have many (and neither will Fonte).
Spot on, he hasn't become a bad player over night in the same way he didn't become world clas with us. System here is set up to support and protect the centre backs with Vic and morgan - doesn't have that in bindippers country

100% agreed. Lovren is a gobby twat who deserves everything he gets. I just hope he plays at St Mary's as hell get so much **** and he'll get himself sent off.
