Things were starting to work but today was always going to be tough in difficult conditions against a strong opposition when our confidence is on the wane. Just need a goal or a little bit of luck to spark us.
He is quite wild and raw - I am sure there is potential but you never know what you are going to get from him - the opposite of Long. Wonder if Ward-Prowse can last until fulltime.
Been very impressed by Burnley, they're one of the only teams who have managed to keep us quiet up front and disrupt our defence at the same time. We started seeing a bit more stability when Ward-Prowse came on although he hasn't seen that much of the ball, hopefully we'll continue in that pattern in the second half.
That's absolute rubbish. He clearly fell over in the Man Utd game. Something the referee clearly saw and anyone with eyes clearly saw. You can't give someone a red card for falling over. Falling over seems to be a Southampton speciality. I also think the yellow he got in this game was harsh - he barely clipped the guy while sliding in as any striker would. He was a fraction of a centimetre off making the challenge that had big burley Trippier rolling around as if shot. He's trying to get about it - and I don't think he's playing well at all - but I hardly think he's playing that recklessly.
Wasn't expecting Burnley fans to be such twats. I guess though a good amount of them have probably realised they can get under Clattenburg's skin.
Both Mane's and Hesketh's yellows were bullshit. Look at the late challenge that ended Hesketh's game! Inconsistent refereeing. Tadic really can't play as an inside out winger. And how many more free crosses will we let Trippier put in?
Not sure what he's done to be terrible???? Both yellows were justified and the challenge on Hesketh was difficult to spot.
Half-time thought: Our 2 ex polish goalkeepers are trying hard to get to the premiership. Artur and a Mr. Bartosz Białkowski in goal at Ipswich!
