SB knows far more about personnel and formations then we'll ever know so this post is made with that in mind. A lot of teams play 4-2-3-1 You need good attacking full backs to provide width, which we have - Elmo and Robertson. Hudd and Livermore can play the 2 holding roles (defensive cover) Three attacking midfielders of Diame central and then 2 out of Brady/Hernandez/Aluko/Ramirez even Sagbo. Jelavic up front but not isolated because the 3 attacking midfielders should be able to support much quicker.
I don't understand this I think his kicking is top quality he finds Elmo 99% of the time with freekicks and goal kicks and when under pressure the way he floats it upfield gives the strikers time to get under the ball and challenge, as well as the defenders up the pitch.
I'd agree with you before he got injured, but his kicking against Spurs was horrendous, barely kicked over the half way line just invited pressure. I do think Elmo not been on the right wing is a disadvantage because before Meyler went there he had no one to kick too, and it came back just as fast. I remember asking Steve Wilson int he Dolan days why he kept kicking the ball out of touch, he said 'because it doesn't come back as fast,'.
Fair point hopefully just a one off I agree about Elmo I think he should be right midfield anyway, but I thought Meyler did reasonably well in the air just that nobody got around him and anticipated him winning it. Considering Meyler has been playing right back for Ireland I thought they might have switched throughout the game on Saturday to offer more attacking threat.
I mostly whinge about whinging ****s like you, who take it upon themselves to insult our own players and manager at the drop of a TwatHat.
Heh, at least I'm not a needy pissy pants who goes round contacting people's employers to tell them what they've said on a football forum. Can dish it out but you can't take it can you polly. You're like a yapping little chihuahua.
Oh dear. Trotting out an utterly irrelevant and unrelated matter that some apologist mate of a racist **** whispered into your poodle ear, in order to make a point? ****ing pathetic.
you've seen nothing yet pal. you say something they don't agree with and they all just go to town on you. as i've started i'll now say my piece on the topic. the team needs changing around. i agree Ince needs to return and be given the chance. i'll say it again - huddlestone and livermore NO. one or the other. gawge for me has something that looks the best going forward with this : Rosie Chester Dawson Robertson -----Livermore-Meyler--------- -Elmo ---- Quinn ------ Brady ----------Jelavic-------------- something isn't clicking. it may well be that bruce has lost the team.
i like him a lot but is he 100% in it for the club? the likes of myler and quinn are. and will give 100% week in week out. you think he should be in?
No, I think playing arguably our best player would be a ridiculous thing to do, we really need to stop messing about and recall Figueroa. Have you forgotten to take your medication again?
who said he wasn't or was our best player? why does that come into this and the question i was asked? someone who is committed to the team 100% is better than 70% committed. Thats only my opinion. i understand what you are saying. just trying to look at things diff. figueroa superb!!!!
This wasn't a reply to me, but it was the team I chose - I didn't choose Diame because he isn't available yet. When he comes back, he probably would make it into the team, but I think there would be a case for him taking either of the two CM roles. More likely for Meyler, but hopefully Meyler gets a chance in the middle before Diame comes back and gives us selection worries for a good reason.
