Never did like the guy, like him even less now. “In fairness to Mohamed Diame when he said, I want to play for a team higher up the league, he never said which league! Dg” @davidgold tweeted. http://www.london24.com/sport/footb...mmers_star_after_ambitious_comments_1_3878834
Is there anything wrong with that? If one of our players said they wanted to play for a team higher up the league and then we were 3rd whilst that team he joined were 3rd bottom, we would LOVE it if our chairman or manager said something like that. They're doing brilliantly, we're doing poorly and if Diame said that then why not gloat a little?
Er no, if our chairman did that, we'd have the knicker wetters and haters complaining he was making us look small time, and that he doesn't know anything about football.
He himself is the one who said he knows absolutely nothing about football. If he came out with a comment like this I'd be impressed that he actually managed to accumulate some knowledge. And "haters"? what are you - a f**ing 12 year old girl defending 1D on Twitter? Just because someone criticises something or someone it doesnt make them a "hater".
Or he'd say something like "Hull Tigers, as we've been known for 110 years, are above The West Hammers that he left us to join. Our fans can die when they want".
I thought it was quite funny actually, people need to lighten up. If anything Diame is the one that should be criticised for telling his club he wanted to play for a better team, hardly professional. Although I suspect it didn't happen and Gold is just messing around.
You really are a knob aren't you. Keep chucking the childish responses and you keep getting these sort of replys. Do you get off on it?
In my view Chairmen shouldn't make comments like this, as they have a habit of coming back to haunt you. Just because for the moment they are doing OK, he should know more than most that the situation can change quite quickly.
Well yeah but - and I stress if it's true - Diame shouldnt have said that either. it sounds like, if we believe Gold, that he started it and he's just responding. As an aside, how ****ing good was Carroll on Sunday? It was probably the best striker display I've seen from an Englishman since Alan Shearer was in his pomp. If he's over his injuries he could be quite a spectacular player and shove all those insults back down people's throats. If Hernandez is a £10m player then on that performance Carroll is well worth £35m.....
Oh Andy Carroll is definitely worth £35m he just hasn't been given a chance yet. You watch him shine in the West Ham team. Fat Sam for England btw.
Could be another **** up by Brendon. He literally didnt give him a go, he made it blatantly obvious he was desperate to shift him as soon as he came in. Carroll and Sturridge couldve been Liverpool and England's strike partnership for the next 2 world cups. A fit Carroll vs Borini, Lambert or Balotelli anyone? He's wasted as much on those 3 as Liverpool did on Andy!
Haters, the people who hate, and there's plenty of them. Its the perfect description. Dunno why that's made you all angsty. Of course you could add in deniers too. I have more respect for those that state clearly they want him gone and they hate him. Its the ones that say they'd prefer him to stay on their terms that I despise. Or the one who states he wishes to work with the owners whilst clearly talking out of his arse. Judging by some of the reactions my simple truth got, I'd say I'm spot on there too.
These days, haters is used for anyone who criticises anyone. A "hater" is someone who says Miley Cyrus doesnt look her best in her latest frock, rather than someone who just has an opinion on their choice of dress. People don't "hate" Allam, they hate what he has said and done. I've been as vociferous as anyone against him but if he came out tomorrow and said the whole name change campaign was wrong and he massively regrets both it and the ill informed and ill judged comments he made about fans who opposed it, then I'm sure the vast majority would forgive him and move on.
People are so fickle, everyone was mocking Carroll, his transfer fee and the fact Liverpool signed him. He has one good game for West Ham two years down the line and suddenly Liverpool have made a massive mistake and Rodgers has ****ed up.
Yeah, he's been injured all this time. I clearly said "if he stays fit" and "based on that performance" and "could be another f** up". I never said he definitely will and he'll play that well all the time. And it wasnt a "good game", it was a stunning one. I was criticising the fact that Rodgers never gave him a chance. If he'd played a full season for him and then decided he didnt want him fair enough, but he didnt. Go on then - who would you rather have - Balotelli, Borini and Lambert or Carroll? And I never mocked Carroll. Some people are fickle yes but I dont think I am.
Sorry, that wasn't supposed to be aimed at you, just a general observation after Sundays game. But to answer your question I'd take Balotelli any day of the week, if both were on top form Balotelli is still a different class to Carroll, although granted they do play a very different type of game.
