I mean, so many bizzare things went against us lately. Just look at the goals we conceded against Villa and tonight. You really can't complain when someone beats your fair and square like City did, but when you concede bizzare goals, your player gets injured just when you've used your last sub and so on...It really tough to handle.

Well, my cunning plan of dropping Pelle and Tadic from my fantasy team nearly came off, folks. Unfortunately, I hadn't planned on coming up against a referee who clearly thought Sir Alec was still managing United. Probably the worst performance of a ref (and assistants) I've seen for a long time. Gave us nothing and every time (bar one - when Fellaini picked the ball up because he had got so used to the ref whistling for a free every time he went over) blew for United.
But, with another wide player (sorry, people, I can't cheer Mane - he was woeful tonight) and our usual midfield, we would have killed them. As it was, Big Vic and Steven were immense, our back 4 looked steady - ok so Jose made a mistake and we were more worried about the substitution for the free kick from which Van Persie scored (and which was never a free kick in the first place) and Graziano did all he could up front.
We're 5th in the league and we should be able to start another run with our next game - so COYR!!!!!

Thats a nonsense post. What did the ref give us?

Arguably you should have beem down to ten. Mane should have walked for his horror challenge but not much else was wrong. Nothing that changed the game tbh.

If he'd crocked him in the first minute we would definately have won!

I think if you were truly a top 6 side you would have won that game comfortably tonight, Man Utd gifted it to you on a plate but you didnt have the quality in the final 3rd.

Good little side, likeable and some good players but the Champions League talk was losing the plot

We'll be happy with upper mid table and a couple of good cup runs this season as this is still a transitional season. Most Saints fans think that we are massively overachieving so far this season

As should your lad for his more blatant elbow on herrera but neither compared to the shocking tackle by mane.

Hard to say we were unlucky today. You don't often win when you gift the opposition two goals. We were distinctly average today, and we controlled the match for large periods only because Man U. was even worse. They might have been lucky to win, but we weren't unlucky to lose. Yes, that makes sense!

And while I'm at it, it's also hard to say we were unlucky against Arsenal. Yes we were unfortunate with injuries but OTOH Forster had an incredible match to keep us in it so from a different perspective we could easily have lost by 3.

It is what it is. We just have to pick ourselves up and do better. There still isn't a team outside of Man C and Chelsea that I've been horribly impressed by. So we're just in the mix with a bunch of other teams, same as before.
