We're our own worst enemy right now. Sloppy mistakes, missing chances and injuries just make it worse. Sigh. :(

From what I saw it was the tremendous whip Rooney got on it. Just a peach of a ball and an unmarked Van Persie.

We lost 3 games, but deserved something from the last 2. That gives hope for future games. You would think from the results that we had suddenly become rubbish, but that is not true. And Pelle broke his duck...never underestimate the importance of that to a striker. Onwards and upwards.

Utd really not very good, but we helped them out! Mane after looking exciting on his first showings is unfortunately looking a bit clueless in the final third! Mind you, he can't be held to blame for all our blunt edges. We'll be fine. Spirit still looks good, would be nice to put one over on a top side though.

In what way was it a good performance? Arsenal was a good performance, this on the other hand was embarrassing. Missed countless chances on top of piss poor decision making in the final third as well as a defensive howler.

We gave that game away, in my eyes that makes it not a good performance. Granted we are missing players but if we don't make at least a couple of signings in January we are going to sink down the table pretty sharpish with lack of squad depth.

At least we have been hit with the realistic hammer now.

This is ridiculous. United haven't created a single chance, and they're taking home all the points. It's absurd.

Mane was horrible. I won't pass my judgement just yet, but I'm seriously starting to doubt his ability on and off the ball. Some of his touches today were awful, I don't see touches so heavy playing sunday league. And there were plenty signs of not understanding the game or his teammates.

I thought we played well but my word how poor are united ? They were seriously bad and got two lucky goals, it would be so poor if they got top three this season, they are an awful side.

Onwards and upwards though , need to get 3 points on saturday !

They have about a billion pounds worth of forwards to get them out of trouble. The biggest plus about tonight is that we bought Wanyama and not Fellaini. What a waste of space!

Forster was very poor again. At fault for the 2nd goal, should have come out and then shouldn't get beaten at his near post so easily for either goal (although obviously the first was mainly Fonte's fault).

Doesn't that just piss you off?

Difference between us on the day was a £30m striker who scores every decent chance he gets.

How in the name of big club bias has RVP earnt MOTM? That was statistically the worst attacking performance by Man U since Opta began gathering the figures. All, literally all he did, was two good finishes. I know, you don't have to tell me, that's all that matters, but for crying out loud!

Any team bringing on an untried youngster against ManU is just desperate. We are trying to play with 8or 9 players, with nothing on the bench to change the game. If we are relying on Mane, Mayuka or untried academy boys then we are stuffed.

We have burnley on saturday, really need to get 3 points. A run of 3 winnable games will hopefully see us back into the top four

Someone's got to do something about this. First Wanyama, then Benali, and now Saints... completely robbed.

We got what we deserved. Squandered opportunity after opportunity. Even if you dominate possession, and play better football, if you let a team score two thirds of their shots on target, you deserve to lose. Seen that game so many times now over the last few seasons and beyond.
